As mentioned in part 1 of Confirmations of Confession #13 (The Pool Called SENT), there were also many powerful confirmations of the other two facets of confession #13. It was evident that He was emphasizing each part individually, but my primary focus has been on the 3rd facet because there was simply an unmistakeable, undeniable, inescapable deluge about the revelation of being Chosen, Appointed, and SENT by Him.
Confirmations of the truth that we can do NOTHING without Christ, but ALL THINGS with/through Him also came from many directions. Among these were some confessions in a document I “just happened” to feel led to pull up and meditate on (though I had not looked at it for a long time and did not remember what confessions were on it). Some of these were:
We recognize our inadequacy and incapability without God and our invincibility with Him. We can do ALL things through JESUS CHRIST who gives us Strength. We walk in the fullness of the revelation and manifestation of our LIMITLESS, INCALCULABLE INHERITANCE that is IN US through CHRIST IN US. We do not live bound by the basic principles of this world. We walk in the supernatural every day – demonstrating the reality that EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE for the one who BELIEVES. John 14-15, 17, Philippians 4:13, Ephesians 1, Galatians 4:1-7, Matthew 17:14-20, Mark 9:23; 11:12-25
We walk in the fullness of the revelation and implications of Christ IN US. This is our confident, cheerful, eager expectation of manifesting God’s GLORY in every area of our lives. Because Jesus lives IN US, we do the miraculous things that He did and even greater things, as He promised. We manifest His glory and display His splendor so that the world knows that He is ALIVE and is living IN US. John 14-15, 17, Colossians 1:27
Also, right after we began meditating on confession #13, our worship pastor taught us a new song for choir called, “I KNOW WHO I AM”!!! lol! As has happened so often, the words went perfectly with the themes God has been emphasizing at the precise time (continuing the theme of needing to know who we are/who we were created to be/what we were created to do, so that we finally believe it enough to do it). I’ve attached a copy of our worship team/choir singing this song (led by Ebenezer Quaye). It’s not a professional recording, but good enough for the purpose of sharing here. This song makes me so happy! 🙂 Get ready to get your praise on (or at least an African version of your praise)!
Verse:
We are a CHOSEN generation, CALLED forth to show His excellence. All I require for life God has given me and I KNOW WHO I AM.
Chorus:
I know who God says I am, what He says I have, I KNOW THAT I CAN {meaning – I KNOW THAT I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST}, cause I know who I am.
Bridge:
I’m walking in POWER, walking in MIRACLES; I live a life of favor, cause I know who I am.
There were also IMMEDIATELY many confirmations about the power of prayer, and of receiving whatever we ask from God when we ask in faith, based on His Word. Many of these confirmations came from I John 5:14-15
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
As we wrap up these themes from confession #13, I thought it was appropriate that as I was sitting down at the computer to write this message (Saturday), I opened a piece of mail and saw this Scripture at the top of the letter,
You did not choose Me, but I CHOSE YOU and APPOINTED YOU that YOU SHOULD GO and BEAR FRUIT, and that your fruit should remain, that WHATEVER YOU ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME HE MAY GIVE YOU. John 15:16
The opening of the letter said, “Isn’t it amazing to know we have been chosen by God Himself? He has made us His children and has appointed important work for us to do. We have been charged to go and bear fruit for His kingdom, fruit that will last for eternity.” (~CBN, emphasis mine) Wow! Wow! Wow! God is amazing! Hopefully you recognize the verse is one of the passages confession #13 is based on ~ the one I realized God was emphasizing the most through all the confirmations of being CHOSEN and APPOINTED by Him. (It also addresses the other facets of confession #13 of bearing fruit and [or by] receiving what we ask for in prayer.) But it honestly did not hit me until just this moment when I added it here and reread the verse carefully to put bold/all caps for emphasis that this verse not only includes the verbiage of being CHOSEN and APPOINTED (to bear Him fruit), but also includes the verbiage of being SENT (in order to do so) – “I CHOSE YOU AND APPOINTED YOU that YOU SHOULD GO!” I’d been thinking this whole time that while the concepts of being CHOSEN and APPOINTED were clearly seen in confession #13, that God just decided to add this additional revelation of being SENT to compliment it ~ beginning with the passage He gave us from John 9 about the pool called SENT). But now I see that although the specific word “GO” (the revelation of being SENT) was left out of my verbiage in confession #13 – God wanted to make sure it would not be left out of the heart revelation we all received as we meditated on this confession! (Yes, I have to apologize to the Lord for being so slow to GET IT often!) Looks like I need to change confession #13 to make sure I include this additional revelation from John 15:16. Here’s the new version:
“I know that apart from Jesus I CAN DO NOTHING. But I am not apart from Jesus. I purpose to REMAIN IN HIM and to let HIS WORDS REMAIN IN ME. Therefore, I receive whatever I ask of Him because I ask in His Name in confident faith based on His Word in Me. I bear MUCH FRUIT, glorifying God, and showing that I belong to and follow Him and that He lives in me! He has CHOSEN, APPOINTED, and SENT me to GO and bear fruit that will last! THROUGH HIM I CAN DO ALL THINGS! (John 15:5-8, 16; 16:23-27; I John 5:14-15, Philippians 4:13)”
In response to now seeing that Jesus wants us to also grasp the revelation from this verse that we’re chosen and appointed to GO (that we’ve been SENT), I’m including the verse again that was cited in part 4 of The Pool Called SENT :
THEREFORE GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
Oh my!!! I also just noticed that both “GO” and “SENT” (Siloam) are in the verse He gave from John 9 that began this entire series (part 1)!!! Officially overwhelmed!!!
…He (Jesus) spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” He told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. John 9:6-7
I’m so in awe of how He’s put this whole series of words together and praying that each one of us will not only HEAR it but truly and fully APPLY it in our lives in every way He desires! May we all wash our eyes in the Pool called SENT so that we can SEE CLEARLY what He’s calling each of us to do and GO do it for His glory! God even orchestrated this so that the last part of the John 15 passage above (“…whatever you ask the Father IN MY NAME…”) actually leads right into our next confession. So here’s the long awaited confession #14:
The NAME of the Lord is Mighty in Power! It is a Strong Tower that I run to and am saved (healed, delivered, protected, preserved)! God protects me by the Power of Jesus’ NAME! (Jeremiah 10:6, Proverbs 18:10, John 17:11)
Since this is already long, I’ll have to wait to share some of the confirmations He’s already been giving for this confession/theme.
Blessings and Prayers!
