Formed in the Secret Place ~ Discovering Destiny – part 3

Note 10 – Part 3  (continued from same day) (Navigation forward or backward at bottom of screen)

SEE THE INVISIBLE; DO THE IMPOSSIBLE

In past notes, I mentioned how the Lord had been giving a series of words based on Hebrews 11:1. I first noticed this theme emerging on 2/12 when my friend (Tamra) posted about how He helped her find her lost phone: “My 11:11 p.m. alarm went off on my iPhone… the Song? Hebrews 11:1 The chorus: FAITH TO SEE BEYOND WHAT I CAN SEE. Faith to know that You will do anything, etc. …” She concluded, “Ringer on silence. Alarm not on silence.”

It was the last part that struck me that night – I saw the spiritual implications of God trying to call His people, but being unable to get through. When we’re not “getting” the messages God is trying to send us about something, eventually He may SOUND THE ALARM to get our attention so we’ll seek Him, find Him, and hear what He needs to tell us. I felt Tamra’s words resonating as another confirmation of the declaration God’s been giving ~ “ALARM NOT ON SILENCE” ~ meaning “The alarm IS SOUNDING.”

Hebrews 11:1 began to emerge as a major theme from that moment. That same night, the Lord gave us a word from Ivan’s Tait’s book that said, “Trust Me and put your hand in Mine. Lay your heart at My feet. Surrender your thoughts toleap of faith - off cliff Me. TRUST WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE; TRUST AND JUMP OFF THE CLIFF OF FAITH. Live like a HERO. Act like a CHAMPION. Think like a saint. Love like the redeemed. ….” (continuing the HERO and CHAMPION theme as well as the Hebrews 11:1 theme).

The next day, the JHM devo said:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hebrews 11:1—Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
FAITH IS THE SOUL DARING TO GO FURTHER THAN THE NATURAL EYE CAN SEE!
NOAH BUILT AN ARK without even having seen the first drop of rain, because FAITH IS BEING “CERTAIN OF WHAT WE DO NOT SEE.”  Faith doesn’t demand miracles; faith produces miracles. … Faith is a choice, not an argument; a decision, not a debate;  a COMMITMENT, not a controversy. Faith gives us the power to walk FEARLESSLY, run CONFIDENTLY and live VICTORIOUSLY.  … Even if our faith cannot yet move mountains, it can give us the power to climb over them. …
~ Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4)
~ “Without faith it is impossible to please God? (Hebrews 11:6)
~ “Everything is possible for him who believes” (Mark 9:23) …
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We continued to receive additional confirmations after this. We couldn’t help but notice not only the multiple references to Hebrews 11:1, but also the themes ~

faith-Augustine quote~ SEEING BEYOND what we can see;
~ DARING to go FURTHER than natural eyes can see;
~ TRUSTING what we do not see;
~ Being CERTAIN of what we do not see

~  and as a result being able to jump off the cliff of faith ( / “have the GUTS to get in the car” – as mentioned in note 6)….  This theme continued in the coming days and weeks, with more confirmations of both Hebrews 11:1, additional verses about SEEING THE INVISIBLE, SEEING THE UNSEEN (Hebrews 11:3; 12:2, II Corinthians 4:18, Romans 4:17), etc., as well as the Rick Renner discussion of Hebrews 11:1 which tied this theme back with our previous ones (as seen in note 5). We began to realize He was connecting this theme to all the previous words about being willing to lay all on the altar of sacrifice, total commitment, and fulfilling our destiny.

Just after putting these words/confirmations in this note from my journal (on 3/19), a Paula status popped up on my screen, saying, “If you can see the invisible, you can do the impossible!!  #‎Faith” !! God’s orchestration is amazing! When I asked the Lord to show me this principle in Scripture (to measure all by the PLUMB LINE of His Word, as discussed in note 9), He immediately connected Matthew 17:14-20, Mark 11:22-24 (see v. 12-26) and Hebrews 11 in my mind.

He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have FAITH [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO YOU. Matthew 17:20

*****

And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have FAITH in God [constantly]. Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. Mark 11:22-24

*****

Now FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] DO NOT SEE and THE CONVICTION OF THEIR REALITY [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1

When we reach the point of FAITH, we are SURE and CERTAIN of what we DO NOT YET SEE with our natural eyes (we are SEEING WHAT IS STILL INVISIBLE by eyes of the Spirit ~ through God’s Word/promises). When we’re in see the invisiblefaith, SEEING THE INVISIBLE realities of God’s Word so clearly that we’re FULLY PERSUADED of them and do not doubt, we’re enabled to achieve the “impossible” things God has called us to accomplish.

After transferring these words from my journal, rereading them, and praying again for the Lord to help us fully comprehend and do this, that night (3/19), I was once again in awe when our pastor read II Corinthians 4:18 (one of the passages that had come up multiple times in this process) and talked about SEEING God’s vision for our lives ~ “There’s a whole world for us to see in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit ~ things that the Lord has already prepared and provided for (us). Seeing in the Spirit isn’t just demonic things, it’s also powerful things the Lord has prepared for you and showed you and once you see it, faith has come and the doubt leaves. … The difference between failure and success is revelation knowledge.” Though we haven’t seen the things God has for us yet with our natural eyes or heard them with our natural ears, God wants to reveal them to us by His Spirit.

But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. I Corinthians 2:9-10

Our pastor also talked about FOCUSING on where we want to be (walking in God’s revealed will and purpose for our lives) rather than focusing on where we are now (more confirmation of all the words He’s given about FOCUSING on and FIXING OUR EYES on the unseen, invisible in order to SEE BEYOND what we can see).
