Powerful Confirmations of Previous Themes‏ – HFJ23

Received some additional confirmations of our previous themes.

From the Slaying the Giants and Possessing the Land notes ~ the confirmations were particularly surrounding this quote (and similar points throughout) from part 1 of that series:

“WE MUST CHANGE OUR PERSPECTIVE, realizing the same mindset we must embrace to successfully train at Gold’s Gym must also be applied to God’s Gym. When our Trainer allows us to face a battle that He does not supernaturally deliver us from, we must recognize that we are TRAINING FOR REIGNING. THE GIANTS ARE OUR BREAD ~ this battle is meant to nourish and strengthen us, not only for our own personal breakthrough, but for us to be ready to fulfill our destiny to help many others.”

Jesse and I just had a chance to listen to the Wednesday night sermon from this week this morning (Fri, Jan 31) and our pastor (Mark Cowart) said:

“We need to reframe our thinking in regard to problems ~ we get stressed about them, despise them, hate them, we pray that God takes them away because we don’t want to deal with them ~ but let’s reframe our thinking about problems, challenges, obstacles, and even enemies, because you need all of them, they’re absolutely essential to life. They’re essential to success….”

“Attack is the proof that your enemy anticipates your success. Understand that enemy is really necessary in your life to take you to the next level. You gain spiritual authority in accordance with the enemy you overcome.”

We are continually astounded by the precise confirmations the Lord provides. Truly we know it’s the same Holy Spirit speaking to many about the same things around the same time. We are so grateful to God day after day and week after week for His goodness to give us such amazing confirmations to let us know we’re hearing Him!

This past week there were also more echoes of the Shield and Shepherd theme.
Regarding Shepherd: God gave us multiple words surrounding His desire to guide us in everything by His Holy Spirit. He was reminding us that He wants to show us the fastest and safest route to our destination, to navigate us around every trap and snare the enemy has laid, to be our Teacher, Guide, Leader, Helper, Stand-by, Mentor, Coach (Shepherd) and All in All. He has not left us as “orphans.” As we acknowledge Him in ALL our ways – invite Him into EVERYTHING and pray for Him to operate in our lives in these ways, He’s reminding us to make sure that we’re not doing all the talking and then moving on to the next thing. He wants us to take time to listen and give Him time to speak in return so we can receive His divine strategies and directions and be led by Him each step and decision of the way. He’s also been reminding us that His ways are higher than ours and that His spiritual strategies, which are necessary for our effectiveness, will not always make sense to our natural minds. Like the seeming absurdity of His plan for the Israelites to bring down the walls of Jericho, He wants us to be able to receive strategies from Him that don’t make any sense to the world’s way of thinking.

Regarding Shield: He gave us a devo based on Luke 10:19 again  ~”Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” ~ which emphasized that He has provided for us to walk in His supernatural protection no matter where we go or what we do to fulfill His will/call. As He was stressing to us before, this devo also made the point that this supernatural protection is activated and works BY FAITH in what He has promised, and that we must purge doubt, fear, and unbelief from our hearts. The confession at the end of the devo even said ~ “I confess that God’s power SHIELDS and protects me from EVERY ATTACK of the enemy!”

Also, He highlighted a new word for me regarding being Shielded. When I posted the “Relentless SHIELD and ARMOR confirmations” note last Sunday, it had the word “UNREACHABLE” in the portion of a JHM devo I included ~ “When I am in the arms of God and behind the shield of faith, hell can’t touch me.  I’m UNREACHABLE.  I’m unshakeable.  I’m unmovable.  I’m safe behind the shield of faith that God gives me for every adversity of life.”
Though “unreachable” stood out to me, I focused on UNSHAKEABLE in the note since that word had come up again several times lately. I mentioned the theme that began in 2011 of being “immoveable, unshakeable, unbreakable, and unstoppable.” It was actually for this very reason that UNREACHABLE stood out to me so much – because it was different from the 4 God had given me so many times. In that same note, I also mentioned the (Ivan Tait ) word, “Wear Your Armor” the Lord had given Jesse last Saturday night. So Monday, when I was typing up that message (Wear Your Armor), I was amazed when I saw it had that exact same word “UNREACHABLE” in it  ~

“Strap on the breastplate of righteousness; tell yourself who I have made you to be. Do the righteous thing and remain UNREACHABLE by the claws of evil.”

I was in awe when I realized the Lord had given us that same untypical word twice in the same day – through the JHM devo in the morning and through the Ivan word that same night. I believe this was no coincidence. Since I deeply value the idea of being UNREACHABLE by the enemy because God surrounds me with an IMPENETRABLE SHIELD that extinguishes EVERY one of his flaming arrows, I’m now adopting this word into the fearsome four to make it the fearsome five ~ immoveable, unbreakable, UNREACHABLE, unshakeable, and unstoppable.

This concept of UNREACHABLE not only makes me think of God as our SHIELD, but also brings to mind the passages of Him being our SECURE FORTRESS!

“Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.” Proverbs 14:26

Lastly, several times this week the Lord drew my attention to something I have written on a 3×5 card from Ivan Tait’s book, Letters from God, “No matter what you face the enemy’s plans will blow up in his face and you will stand there with the spoil.” I was claiming this in light of all the Shield and Armor words and warnings (including the dream we’re interceding against that I mentioned in the “Relentless Shield…” note), etc. Then this morning when we listened to Wednesday’s sermon, our pastor gave a confirmation of this word too! He talked about how Haman’s horrible plot to kill the Jews ended up becoming his own demise ~ He didn’t know it, but he had built his own gallows. “You know what the devil’s been building for you, laying out for you, making you think you’re going to hang – that you’re not going to make it. He doesn’t know it, but when the favor of God manifests in your life, he’s just built his own gallows.”

The book of Esther has been very significant in what the Lord’s been telling us since 2011, with renewed emphasis since the beginning of this year. I believe it’s not only for us, but for the whole body! If what happened between Haman and Mordecai is not a perfect illustration of the enemy’s plans blowing up in his own face, and the person he intended to destroy ending up standing there with the spoils, I don’t know what is!!!!!!! So, I’m praying for this and standing on this word for DIVINE REVERSALS in any plots and plans of the enemy to destroy us all (not for the people plotting them to be destroyed, but for our enemies in the spiritual realm to be destroyed and the people to be set free). Hope you will pray and believe in agreement with this too! (There were some other powerful confirmations in the sermon, but I know this is already long – so think I’d better save for later…)

Wrapping up Confession #4 with Confirmations‏ – HFJ22

Trying to wrap up the past confession and move on to the next one (which has been difficult in the midst of all these other confirmations of the additional themes God’s been emphasizing).
Hope you remember our last confession (#4):

“God’s Word IS SEED that I plant in my heart in any area I have a need in order to receive the promised harvest. As I faithfully plant God’s Word in my heart, it continually grows in me, whether I’m asleep or awake. I RELENTLESSLY hold on to God’s Word and REFUSE to let the devil steal it through unbelief, uproot it through attacks that try to disprove God’s Word, or choke it out through distractions with other things! I continue diligently and consistently in the Word with FAITH and PATIENCE and receive the desired harvest in my life. I WILL NOT STOP when I see only some results! I do not settle for partial victory, for only the 30 fold or 60 fold return ~ only the stalk, or the head. I PERSEVERE and receive the full kernel in the ear ~ the 100 fold return, the COMPLETE MANIFESTATION!” (Luke 8:1-15, Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-20, 26-29, Hebrews 6:11-12) 

Some of the confirmations for this confession which I haven’t sent yet are:

“Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.” Luke 8:13 NIV

  • Often we are excited and moved by the Holy Ghost when we receive the Word and thank God for it.
  • But it is essential to have root, which means to have depth in our hearts and souls and seriousness about God and eternity.
  • Because there is to be for sure testing that will try to steal the seed of life away from us unless we have depth and roots – testing is inevitable.

Prayer: Lord help me to have depth and roots that run deep so that I will not fall away or be moved by testing and trials. I praise you for all you have done for me through the years because your grace has been more than enough. Amen. ~ Ed Traut (© Prophetic Life Ministries)

Through this, the Lord re-emphasized to me how the temptation to want to GIVE UP or QUIT regarding what God told us is just the age-old tactic of the enemy trying to UPROOT God’s Word/promises from our hearts. Jesus exposed this for us in His Christianity 101 course (the Parable of the Sower). There have been times when it seemed I could literally feel this uprooting trying to take place. Of course, we should desire and pray for GOD to uproot everything out of us that was not truly planted by Him (Matthew 15:13), so when we’re feeling this uprooting beginning to take place, we need His divine discernment to know when to surrender (to any uprooting occurring by His hand) and when to RESIST (any uprooting occurring by the hand of the enemy)! The enemy typically seeks to uproot the Word through overt attacks against us (attacks in our health, finances, through persecution, etc.), and to choke out the Word through covert (more subtle) attacks (such as distractions that pull us away from our time with the Lord and His Word).

Also, in these past few weeks while we’ve been on this confession about enduring with the Word, God also gave us Heb 10:32-39 (view verse here) and MULTIPLE words from Rick Renner’s Sparkling Gems that were ALL based on this same passage from Hebrews 10 ~ stressing not giving up, not casting away our confidence, and continuing to endure and stand on God’s promises until we see them come to pass. A Fight Always Follows Illumination

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions…. — Hebrews 10:32

Have you ever received a word from the Lord that gave you the exact direction you needed? If so, let me guess what happened next. Suddenly — BOOM! It seemed like all hell broke loose! The craziest circumstances erupted, seeming to directly challenge and assault that word you had just received from God! If I’ve just described what you’ve gone through or what you are going through right now, be encouraged! You must be right on track! A spiritual fight usually does occur when you’ve been specially illuminated to the plan God has for your life.

In Hebrews 10:32, the Bible says, “But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions.…” Today I want us to look at three key words in this verse: “great,” “fight,” and “afflictions.” These words describe what you and I might experience after the Lord has given us a word of instruction to illuminate us regarding His plan for our lives.

First, let’s look at the word “great.” In Greek, it’s the word polus, and it means a huge number or to an enormous degree. By using this word polus, the writer of Hebrews tells us that sometimes spiritual conflicts accompany a word of divine direction, and they are normally not challenges of little consequence that can be easily overcome with minimal effort. In fact, the enemy’s attacks are usually polus! In other words, they’re significant attacks — the kind of trials that require all of your determination to hold fast and not give up! The second word I want you to see is the word “fight.” It comes from the Greek word athlesis and refers to a committed athlete. This undoubtedly tells you that when you receive a word from the Lord, it may throw you into one of the greatest challenges of your entire life! You’ll feel like you’ve just entered the ring and are competing for the prize! Finally, we come to the third word, “afflictions.” It is the Greek word pathema and usually refers to mental pressure or to suffering that affects the mind. This isn’t talking about mental sickness; rather, it points to a war in your soul or an attack on your mind.

Hebrews 10:32 could thus be taken to mean:

“After you were illuminated, you endured an enormous ordeal that threw you into the biggest fight you ever faced in your life. But the most critical part of the struggle resulted from the unremitting assaults that literally battered your mind….”

You can be sure that if you take a stance of faith in response to a word you received from God, every possible negative thought will come against your mind. Not only will the devil try to use people and circumstances to thwart the plan, but he will also affect your mind with all kinds of negative thoughts and accusations. He’ll do everything he can to talk you out of doing what God has called you to do.

Don’t be surprised by this! You must remember that Jesus experienced this type of attack as He hung on the Cross. As He selflessly laid down His own life on the Cross, the soldiers and other criminals hurled their horrible, slanderous statements at Him. But Jesus pushed aside all the assaults that came against His soul and endured, committing His life and destiny into the Father’s hands.
So if you have received a word from God for your life, let me ask you:

  •  Did you go through a huge ordeal yourself after you were illuminated to God’s plan?
  •  Did you feel you were thrown into a fight that came to challenge what God had told you?
  •  Did you find that the devil tried to assault your mind and emotions with lies, accusations, and fears?

If you have been in this place I’m talking about — or if this is exactly where you are right now — then be encouraged! This is probably your clearest signal that you’ve received a real word from the Lord. You must be right on track, because the devil is terribly concerned about what will happen if you act on what God has revealed to you. Don’t back down. Don’t surrender to the enemy’s vicious lies in your mind, his attacks against your body, his challenges to your finances, or his assaults on your relationships. Regardless of how much resistance he tries to bring against you, don’t you dare back up on that word God gave you! If you hadn’t received a true word from the Lord, there would be nothing for the devil to challenge! The fight you face is the greatest evidence you’re right on track! Just hang on, and don’t give up! You’re clearly headed in the right direction!

My Prayer for Today

Lord, as I take a stand of faith in response to that word I have received from You for my life, I realize that Satan may try to use negative thoughts to war against my mind. Thank You for alerting me to the fact that the devil may even try to use people and circumstances to thwart Your plan for my life. But I also thank You that Satan cannot stop Your plan from coming to pass! With Your Spirit illuminating my mind, I know I will be able to discern the attacks of the enemy and successfully resist each and every attack! I pray this in Jesus’ name!

My Confession for Today

I boldly declare that I won’t back down! I won’t surrender to Satan’s vicious lies — his attacks against my body, his challenges to my finances, and his assaults against my relationships. Regardless of how much resistance he tries to bring against me, I will not back up on the word that God gave me. I will stand fast, holding tightly to what God has promised, and the devil will be the one to throw in the towel and surrender! I will resist him until he flees and leaves me! I declare this by faith in Jesus’ name!

Reaping What We Sow Applies to Acts of Omission Too ~ Be Heard

Last year, the Lord began to speak to me about how reaping what we sow (Galatians 6:7) does not only refer to acts of commission, but also acts of omission. In other words we do not only reap what we do to others, but we will fail to reap what we fail to do for others. (What some call “karma” is just the world’s way of trying to understand this Biblical truth of reaping what we sow).

The Sunday after the Lord was showing me this, our pastor quoted this famous passage by pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the tragic deception and/or cowardice of those who blindly went along with the Nazis’ rise to power and their subsequent persecution and annihilation of one group after another.” ~

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out– Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me–and there was no one left to speak for me.”

Certainly we can apply this principle to our mandate to speak out on behalf of the unborn, those in bondage in the sex trafficking industry, other social injustices, and even to speak the truth in love to those lost in the deception of sin. But the Lord recently brought this subject back up to us several times in reference to much of the church’s neglect of speaking out for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ around the world while we have the freedom to do so. One of these confirmations included this chilling warning which refers to things we believe the Lord has warned us of in His messages in the past years calling the church to repentance:

“I warned the church this day was coming, but when the Christians in America didn’t scream about our brothers and sisters being slaughtered and imprisoned in third world nations, I felt the Holy Ghost say, ‘Because my people would not stand up against that spirit behind it worldwide they will not be able to stand up against it when that spirit comes to this country,’ and that spirit’s coming to this country. … The slaughter that is planned for the Christians in this land…I have asked the Lord to raise up people that can stand, intercessors, people that will praise like Jehoshaphat and even like Queen Esther. If people had an understanding of what’s planned, plotted, and the scheme for their demise they’d be on their faces crying out for the Lord’s power, purpose, and protection.” ~ Steve Quayle

“Think about this. America has the power to crush the terrorists of the world, but we do not have the will. The terrorists of the world have the will to crush us, and soon, if not already, they will have the power to do it. This morning I received this message from the ACLJ –
“Yesterday marked one year since Iran convicted and sentenced American Pastor Saeed for his Christian faith. One year of beatings, isolation from his family, and worsening medical conditions. But yet there is a renewed hope. Iran’s foreign minister has stated that “clemency” could be possible for Pastor Saeed – allowing for his release. This is the first positive sign we have seen from the Iranian regime and comes on the heels of improved prison conditions for Pastor Saeed.”

We must act now to build on this momentum of hope for Pastor Saeed’s freedom. In less than 24 hours, over 45,000 have signed our new petition urging Iran to give Pastor Saeed clemency and release him. But we need to hear from you now. Now is the time to speak with one voice. Iran, grant clemency.

Slaying Giants and Possessing the Land- Pt4‏ – HFJ20

NEXT, the KCM devo that same day (Mon 1-20) also went perfectly along with this theme. Though this speaks specifically of healing, please make the application to whatever your specific circumstances are that are attempting to exalt themselves above and defy the Word of God:

Put Your Foot on Healing Ground

Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you….– Joshua 1:3

“If you need healing in your body today, you need to possess it like the children of Israel possessed the Promised Land.

Joshua and the people of Israel had to put their foot on what belonged to them, if they were going to enjoy the blessing of God. The same thing is true today with healing and every other blessing.

If you are a believer, healing already belongs to you. Isaiah 53 clearly says Jesus has borne our griefs, sickness, weakness and pain, and carried our sorrows, and that by His stripes we are healed and made whole. As far as God is concerned, healing is yours. Jesus has already paid the price for it. But for you to receive it, you have to put your foot on it. You have to go in and possess the land!

That’s not always easy. It wasn’t necessarily easy for Joshua either. To do it, God told him he would have to be “strong and very courageous” (Joshua 1:7). The people of Israel had to arm themselves and go up before their enemy. They had to put their foot on that land. In the same way, taking the land of healing (or any other promise) requires spiritual strength and courage. Why? Because the manifestation of healing doesn’t always come instantly. We want it instantly—and many times it comes that fast—but other times it takes longer.

When you think about it, that’s not so unusual. After all, in most cases, sickness and disease do their destructive work gradually. They don’t just appear one moment—and kill you the next. They take effect over time. So it’s not surprising that healing often displaces their effects gradually as well.

If you need healing today, you need to put your foot on the healing land. You need to step out on the Word, take it and say, “Healing is mine. The devil is not going to steal it from me. No one is going to talk me out of it. It belongs to me. Today, this day, I receive my healing!” Once you’ve said that, don’t ever say anything contrary to it. Don’t be moved by time or by symptoms or by anything else. Just stay with it. Continue to take God’s medicine—the Word—every day and you will continually improve. (THIS GOES ALONG WITH OUR CURRENT VERSE OF PERSEVERING – CONTINUING UNTIL WE HAVE THE 100-fold manifestation!)

When the devil comes back next week and tells you you’re not going to get your healing, laugh at him and say, “Too late! I’ve already gotten it. I received my healing last week. I put my foot on healing ground and it’s mine.” Just REFUSE TO GIVE UP, keep on taking the land and your healing will come to pass. Scripture Reading: Isaiah 53:1-5”

That night when Jesse and I took communion before bed, though I hadn’t told him about all these words/confirmations God had been giving (shared in pts 1-4), the Holy Spirit led him to pray along these same lines ~ thanking God that we could have CONFIDENCE that the VICTORY IS ALREADY OURS/ACCOMPLISHED through what Jesus has done and that we’re going to come out of this battle EVEN STRONGER!

The next day (Tues 1-21), the JHM devo tied several of our themes together:

When Satan comes and says you’re defeated, attack with the sword.  The word of God says, “GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).  The Bible says we are “MORE THAN CONQUERORS” through Christ (Romans 8:37).  The Bible says that FAITH IS THE VICTORY, WHICH OVERCOMES THE WORLD (1 John 5:4). I knew when I sent part 1 of this series on the 23rd that there was another powerful revelation about the giants I left out. It was slipping my mind at the moment I wrote it, so I asked the Lord to remind me. During the course of the day, He led me to reread a note I wrote last July (A message … via Elastigirl).  I was not rereading it thinking I would find that revelation there, but lo and behold it was hidden within. (I mentioned it in passing in that note, but didn’t draw attention to it and emphasize it since the note was already so long.) The Lord had emphasized this verse to me:

For he has given the inhabitants of the land into my hands, and the land IS SUBJECT TO THE LORD AND TO HIS PEOPLE. II Chronicles 22:18  

He then connected this in my mind to Luke 10:19, I believe saying that this is the New Testament fulfillment for the church of the I Chronicles 22:18 type and shadow:  

I HAVE GIVEN YOU AUTHORITY to trample on snakes and scorpions and TO OVERCOME ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY; NOTHING WILL HARM YOU. Luke 10:19

When we REALLY grasp this revelation, it should change our lives! He has GIVEN THE INHABITANTS OF THE LAND ~ THE GIANTS ~ the enemies in the spiritual realm who are possessing the land He promised and threatening to keep us out ~ He has GIVEN THEM INTO OUR HANDS, and THEY HAVE NOW BEEN MADE SUBJECT TO US (They are subject to the LORD and to His people ~ they are subject to us as we remain subject to the Lord.). They are subject to us! We are not subject to them! He has given us AUTHORITY over ALL OF THEIR POWER so that NOTHING will by ANY MEANS HARM US!!! (This brings us back full circle to the theme of our authority in Christ from previous messages)

These messages (pt 3 & 4) were finished last week and I intended to send them Saturday (since pts 1 & 2 were sent Thurs. & Fri), but didn’t get to it. Now, I’m glad I didn’t! I can now add that our pastor also talked (in part) about us being MORE THAN CONQUERORS yesterday! AND THEN last night I saw this JHM devo! Due to all the confirmations, I felt it would be the perfect conclusion for this series!

 “…Our commander in chief, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).  He has given every person “a measure of faith” and YOU MUST USE IT.  We are to PUT ON the whole armor of God with joy unspeakable—because WE ARE THE ONLY ARMY WHO WAS EVER GUARANTEED THE VICTORY BEFORE THE FIRST SHOT WAS EVER FIRED. FAITH is the victory that overcomes the world.  We are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Christ. BY FAITH, you can look the demons of hell in the face without fear. BY FAITH, YOU CAN DEFEAT THE GIANTS THAT ARE CHALLENGING YOU. BY FAITH, you can climb the highest mountain and walk through the darkest valley. BY FAITH, you can charge the gates of hell with a water pistol and win. Given the continuing shield and armor confirmations as well, let’s make sure we get the fullness of these revelations and walk in the fullness of His conquering, overcoming, immoveable, unshakeable, unbreakable, unstoppable power, provision, and victory! Praying to this end!

Relentless SHIELD and ARMOR confirmations

God is still relentlessly keeping the confirmations coming. I believe this speaks not only about the vital importance, but the urgency, of His people receiving and walking in this revelation. We know He’s speaking this message to/for us, but since He said last weekend that this was a message to share on FB, I believe the importance and urgency may be for the whole body in this season.

Friday, He gave me another word about the armor, emphasizing again that this revelation is essential to prevent the enemy from taking us out prematurely. He tied it together with all the words He’s given us about the incalculable riches of our inheritance ~ our limitless, all-sufficient supply in Him to meet every need ~ showing that PUTTING ON our armor and using it as we should enables us to walk in the fullness of all His covenant provision (protection, provision, healing, etc.). (see Incalculable Wealth notes)

That night He gave us the Shield Scriptures from the Healing book:

“God surrounds me with His unfailing love and with His favor as with a shield. God’s love ALWAYS PROTECTS. It NEVER FAILS! I have a Shield of NEVER-FAILING protection around me. Through FAITH I am shielded by His power. (Psalm 5:12; 32:10, I Corinthians 13:7,8, I Peter 1:5).”

“I trust in the Lord and am secure like Mount Zion which can NEVER BE SHAKEN, but endures forever! The Lord surrounds me as the mountains surround Jerusalem now and forevermore! (Psalm 125:1-2)” 

When I looked them up yesterday in the electronic format to include here, I also found the new one I added last year,

“Through Faith in God and His Word, He becomes my Shield of faith which extinguishes EVERY FLAMING ARROW of the enemy, so that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME CAN PROSPER (Isaiah 54, Ephesians 6:16).” 

That night I had a dream that surprised and concerned me, compelling us to believe we should begin interceding against a plot of the enemy that God may have been exposing. We asked the Lord, upon waking, if this was truly a dream from Him….The next morning (Sat 1-25), He gave another word about the Ephesians 6 armor, again revisiting how He has provided EVERYTHING WE NEED to overcome the attacks and plots of the enemy, “which are very real,” and that we are not to shrink back from the battle. This wording jumped out to me and caused me to wonder if He was confirming that the plot/attack of the enemy from the dream that I had just asked Him about is “very real.“

Then, the JHM devo that day was again about the SHIELD of FAITH:

Ephesians 6:16—Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

This Shield Of Faith Can Stop All Of The Fiery Darts Of Satan—Not Some Of Them, But ALL Of Them!

There were two kinds of shields a Roman soldier carried.  One was a giant Frisbee that he had on his arm when he was fighting hand-to-hand combat with a sword. The other kind of shield was about four feet high and two feet wide. A Roman soldier who was ambushed suddenly could survive by getting completely behind this shield. (more confirmation of being covered from HEAD TO TOE)

…get behind the shield of faith.  When you don’t have just one problem, but rather lots of problems, get behind this powerful, supernatural shield God has given you.  Behind the shield of faith you are protected because you’re safe in the arms of God.

God said to Abraham, “I am you’re shield and your exceeding great reward” (Genesis 15:1).  David said, “The Lord is my strength and my shield” (Psalm 28:7).  When I am in the arms of God and behind the shield of faith, hell can’t touch me.  I’m unreachable.  I’m UNSHAKABLE.  I’m unmovable.  I’m safe behind the shield of faith that God gives me for every adversity of life.

Hearing echoes in these words of the IMMOVABLE, UNSHAKABLE, UNBREAKABLE, UNSTOPPABLE theme that began in 2011-2012. Though God says ALL else WILL be shaken in these last days; we’re to be connected to the Kingdom which CANNOT be (Hebrews 12:25-29).

Last night, after I told Jesse all the additional confirmations and what I felt God was saying, he prayed and asked the Lord for a word. He responded with a word entitled “WEAR YOUR ARMOR,” based on Ephesians 6:11!! At this point we were OVERWHELMED with His persistence to make sure we’re getting this message loudly and clearly and won’t take it lightly. JESUS!! WE HEAR YOU!! HELP US LORD!! Though it talked about ALL the pieces of our armor, it specifically said ~ “Never forget to take up your shield of faith; it stops ALL missiles of destruction against your life. It protects you from ALL Satanic weapons.” 

Then this morning, we got a word based on Psalm 91, and then our pastor preached (in part) on our Psalm 91 supernatural protection in the midst of whatever may come in this nation/the world in these days! In addition, he talked about how God gives us warnings in dreams so we can intercede against the plans of the enemy that are exposed and see those events that we were shown changed! I pray all the time for the Lord to put specific confirmations of what He’s been telling us in our pastor’s mouth, even if they weren’t in his notes, and He responds in astounding ways! This felt like one of those moments. We felt the Lord was confirming that we need to be interceding against the dream and again, making sure we’re wearing and using the whole armor of God.

All this to say… we’re taking these words/warnings seriously for our own lives…and perhaps the urgency is just something for us personally. But since He said to share the Shield and Shepherd message publicly, we wanted to pass along these additional confirmations in case the Lord does intend this urgency for others as well (whether the whole body or specific ones), so they may have another chance to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying and take any appropriate actions to get spiritually suited up in the FULL armor of the Lord!

We pray all will be interceding against ALL plots, works, and weapons of the kingdom of darkness and praying that the WHOLE body of Christ will receive and walk in the FULL revelation of the whole armor God has supplied, empowering and enabling each one of us to walk in ALL of His sacrificial accomplishments (our glorious inheritance and all-encompassing covenant)!

Slaying Giants and Possessing the Land – Pt3‏ – HFJ19

The next morning, (Mon 1-20), I saw that Rick Renner’s Sparkling Gem for the day was entitled, Never Forget That You Are More Than a Conqueror! (full devo at link) In it Rick says, “How do you see yourself? As a champion who wins nearly every fight? Or as a loser who struggles along, never seeming to conquer a single problem? How you perceive yourself is very important….” He talks about how people with the latter perception exude negativity, inferiority, insecurity (defeat), but that the former group who see themselves as champions/overcomers, who win every fight, will exude CONFIDENCE.

“In this verse (Rom 8:37), Paul declares that “…we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him that loved us.” I want to especially draw your attention to the phrase “more than conquerors.” It comes from the Greek word hupernikos, a compound of the words huper and nikos. By joining (these words), Paul is making one fabulous, jammed-packed, power-filled statement about you and me! The words “more than” are derived from the Greek word huper, which literally means over, above, and beyond. It depicts something that is way beyond measure. It carries the idea of superiority — something that is utmost, paramount, foremost, first-rate, first-class, and top-notch; greater, higher, and better than; superior to; preeminent, dominant, and incomparable; more than a match for; unsurpassed, unequaled, and unrivaled by any person or thing. … Paul uses this word huper to dramatize our victory.

This is what Paul meant to get across in Romans 8:37:

‘We are greater conquerors, superior conquerors, higher and better conquerors, utmost conquerors, paramount conquerors, top-notch conquerors, unsurpassed conquerors,
unequaled and unrivaled conquerors!!’

‘We are MORE THAN A MATCH for any foe!’ (remember that phrase)

…The word “conqueror” is from the Greek word nikos…(which) describes an overcomer; a conqueror, champion, victor, or master. It is the picture of an overwhelming, prevailing force. The word nikos alone wasn’t strong enough to make Paul’s point, so he joined the words huper and nikos together to make his point even stronger! When you put these two words together, they form the word hupernikos, which declares that in Jesus Christ, you are an overwhelming conqueror, a paramount victor, or an enormous overcomer. This word is so power-packed that one could interpret it as a phenomenal, walloping, conquering force!

That’s precisely who you are in Jesus Christ! So stop looking at yourself as a struggling loser. Regardless of your past experiences, you must begin to look at yourself through God’s eyes and in the light of Romans 8:37.  … Resolve right now to see yourself the way the Word of God does — as a walloping and conquering force! You are MORE THAN A MATCH for any adversary or foe that would come against you today!

That same morning, I turned on Joyce’s broadcast online. I was several weeks behind, so I had lots of broadcasts to choose from, yet the one I “just happened” to choose (thanks to the Holy Spirit) was FULL of confirmations of these very things. I will include just a few of the things Joyce said that were significant rhema to me in this message:

“Why does God sometimes leave us in the situations we’re in when He could just as easily deliver us out of them right now. Because the way we develop FAITH MUSCLES is by having to USE THEM! The more we use our faith the more of it we will have in our lives.” (Paul wanted to teach the believers that) no matter what their problems were, they were MORE THAN CONQUERORS in Christ and they could still have a good attitude and enjoy life. You’re misinformed if you think a relationship with God means you won’t have any problems. But God will DELIVER YOU from things and bring you through them VICTORIOUSLY! We are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Christ – MORE THAN CONQUERORS! I’ve thought about what more_than_conquerors_by_kevron2001-d4ngx1ythis phrase means and I believe it means that I ALREADY KNOW THAT I’M GOING TO WIN BEFORE THE BATTLE STARTS!!! Before I ever even know what the battle is, I already have CONFIDENCE in God that whatever comes my way that I can walk through it in victory through Christ. It may not be easy, but I can do it with holy ease – I can have an internal ease about it (by faith). When we have the right approach to things (the approach of faith based on God’s Word), we can stay at ease internally (no matter what our external circumstances because) THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU!” (There’s another confirmation of that word this week as well!) She also said – “Every trial that you have is an opportunity to practice” (a spiritual workout, an opportunity to RESIST the enemy and overcome him, that will make us STRONGER)!!

Then the JHM devo (from 1/20) that I mentioned in the Shield and Shepherd confirmation message the other day not only had the Ephesians 6 verse about the shield of faith, but also said:

“There Is Only One Thing You Can Do With A Sword, And That’s FIGHT! The Bible says to ‘RESIST the devil, and he WILL FLEE from you’ (James 4:7).  Paul instructed us to “FIGHT the good fight of faith”  (1 Timothy 6:12).  Paul was a fighter.  One of the last things he wrote to the church was ‘I have fought a good fight.’ (2 Timothy 4:7).  Another place Paul says he did not fight ‘as one who beats the air’ (1 Corinthians 9:26).  In other words, ‘I’m not throwing a series of wild punches hoping I hit the devil. If he gets close enough, it’s lights out.’   … Paul said he was not swinging wildly; HE WAS READY FOR COMBAT.  He was CONFIDENT that through Jesus Christ he was MORE THAN A MATCH FOR THE POWERS AND PRINCIPALITIES OF DARKNESS. Besides the recurring themes of confidence, developing our faith muscles through the battles we encounter (the giants are our bread), having to fight and resist the devil, yet knowing we will win before the battle begins, and the Kingdom of God/Heaven within, I hope you also saw the precise confirmation of the phrase from Rick’s devo, “more than a match.” Though I believe it’s also significant that “more than a conqueror” occurred multiple times in the same day from different sources, I believe there’s additional significance in the fact that a less typical (unusual) way of stating that common phrase occurred twice in the same day from separate sources. Apart from confirmations of identical themes, these kinds of particular and precise word-for-word confirmations are always extra indicators to me that GOD IS SPEAKING!!

I just started hearing the theme music from “Rocky” playing in my spirit. LOL! I haven’t seen anything from those movies since I was a kid (when my brother Jeff was probably watching them and I saw bits and pieces). So just now I pulled that song up on youtube and as I listened, words jumped out to me that I’d never heard before (any die-hard Rocky fans please overlook my ignorance). Sure enough, the lyrics say:

“Getting STRONG now
won’t be long now
getting STRONG now”

The Lord makes me laugh by the secular movies He speaks to me through. I looked at the lyrics of Eye of the Tiger after that too and saw the message that we must NEVER GIVE UP; we must HAVE THE WILL TO SURVIVE, RISE UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF OUR RIVALS, (our enemies in the spiritual realm) AND FIGHT!!

I hope you’re hearing this anthem in the Spirit now too and are rising up in faith, knowing THE VICTORY IS ALREADY PROMISED TO YOU BEFORE THE BATTLE BEGINS as long as you accept this challenge to suit up in the full armor and to fight the good fight of faith with the truth of God’s Word. Remember that it doesn’t matter how big the giants ~ God said their protection has been CUT OFF, but that He is WITH US to cause us to inherit the land He promised. And because He is with us/IN US, we are WELL ABLE to possess it ~ MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loves us! Don’t look at the size of “the giants”; look at the size of our God and FIGHT with CONFIDENCE in Him and His promises!

The Household of Faith

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. – Galatians 6:10

“According to Galatians 6:10, if you are born again, you are a member of the household of faith. “But, Brother Copeland, I just don’t think I have any faith.” You have to! You couldn’t possibly be of the household of faith unless you had faith! And you can’t be born again and not have faith.

Settle it right now in your mind and your heart that God has given you His faith. He hasn’t shortchanged you. He has put in you enough faith to blast through every mountain that gets in your way. He expects you to use it, and He will develop it to the point where it can keep your body healed and your family prosperous and blessed. He expects you to use it to get your kinfolk saved and obtain every other promise given you in the Word of God.

If you haven’t had much success in those areas, it isn’t because you don’t have enough faith. It’s because what you have has never developed. You’ve been lying around on your sofa, eating spiritual junk food and watching videos all day. So when the devil kicked your door in and announced he was taking over your household by bringing sickness and calamity to it, you didn’t have enough strength to stop him. But don’t let that discourage you. Come over to God’s gym with the rest of us and start working out. Start studying your Bible, listening to tapes, fellowshiping with the Lord and exercising your faith until you’re a spiritual Schwarzenegger. Then, the next time the devil comes bursting through your door, you can stand up, flex those faith muscles and say, “Stop, thief! You’re not taking over this household. It belongs to me and don’t you touch one thing in it. I’ll cut you up one side and down the other with the Word of God. Now, get out and don’t let me see your ugly face on this block again!”

The next day (1-12), I KNEW all the more that the Lord was truly emphasizing this to me when our pastor said the exact phrase – “THE GIANTS ARE OUR BREAD” – (He said it that Sunday and again the following Wed.)! When our pastor talks about this, he also often uses the analogy of going to the gym ~ clarifying that we go to the gym TO GET STRONGER (fit/in shape) ~ and that this requires WEIGHTS and RESISTANCE! He talks about how his physical trainer is not there to coddle him and take it easy on him. In fact, he often feels that his sole purpose is to make his life more difficult ~ certainly more challenging. His trainer’s job is to push him further than he thinks he is able to go. Of course, he doesn’t do this to be cruel, but because his job is to help him get in shape and get STRONGER…. (selah)

Somehow we “get this” in the natural, but when it comes to our development in the Spirit we don’t make the same connection. We want God to demonstrate His Fatherly love for us by swooping in to rescue us and do everything for us. We know it would be so easy for Him to do. We’ve seen Him do it for us and others on other occasions, and I will still ALWAYS tell people to believe God for miraculous deliverance FIRST. BUT… He also wants us to know that when the miraculous deliverance we want doesn’t happen the way we want it to, His DIVINE POWER has STILL provided us with EVERYTHING WE NEED for LIFE and GODLINESS through our knowledge of HIM and HIS GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES! Sometimes He leaves us in a challenging situation to learn to OVERCOME by the power and authority of His Word, His Name, and His blood. We don’t get to make excuses for not overcoming and learning to walk in the victory He has provided. As a good trainer/coach, He will not allow more to come on us than what we can bear; He makes sure before He allows us to face a challenge that we have all we need through Him in us to overcome and conquer. But BECAUSE HE LOVES US His primary concern is not to always instantly rescue us out of every challenge. He’s looking out for our best interest by allowing us to encounter weights/challenges that require RESISTANCE and will produce the growth and development necessary for us to fulfill our destinies. I knew God was reminding us that He has not miraculously intervened to rescue us out of this battle in the way we desired (though He has certainly miraculously intervened in many ways) because, as He’s been saying, He’s trying to stir up that WARRIOR spirit in us again (as mentioned previously). He wants us to rise up, put on the full armor He’s supplied, and fight with His Word~ KNOWING our victory IS GUARANTEED as we walk in the obedience of faith. And as a result, we will develop our faith muscles back to where they once were and TO NEW DIMENSIONS BEYOND WHERE WE’VE EVER BEEN.God's Gym Color Enhanced

WE MUST CHANGE OUR PERSPECTIVE, realizing the same mindset we must embrace to successfully train at Gold’s Gym must also be applied to God’s Gym. When our Trainer allows us to face a battle that He does not  supernaturally deliver us from, we must recognize that we are TRAINING FOR REIGNING. THE GIANTS ARE OUR BREAD ~ this battle is meant to nourish and strengthen us, not only for our own personal breakthrough, but for us to be prepared to fulfill our destiny to help many others.

Slaying Giants and Possessing the Land- pt 1‏ – HFJ17

Here’s one of the recent themes I felt I should start typing up yesterday to share – it will be in several parts.

Two weeks ago (1-8-14), as I ministered about healing to my friend I mentioned previously, in addition to the Shield revelations, the Lord also brought back to my mind all the things He had spoken to me last year in the thick of our battle about defeating “the GIANTS” and possessing the land. All these concepts that the Lord emphasized to us are from the Scriptural accounts of David and Goliath and from the children of Israel going to take the promised land.

~ He said He did not want us to look at the size of “the giants” and feel “like grasshoppers,” incapable of overcoming in the battle, but to look at the size of our God and realize that “the giants” (of david_goliath-1sickness or any other challenge we face) are NOTHING in comparison to HIM. GREATER IS HE who is IN US….

~ He talked about how the giants (our enemies) are “uncircumcised Philistines”~ meaning they have NO COVENANT with God ~ therefore it is not a fair fight, since we DO have COVENANT with Him! David’s confidence came from this understanding of COVENANT!  

~ He infused us with faith by telling us that “the giants” (the enemy’s) protection has been CUT OFF ~ that He has given US the land and we are WELL ABLE to take and possess it because He promised it to us and He’s WITH US/ IN US to cause us to conquer if we will just believe Him and FIGHT!

~ He talked about how Joshua and Caleb had a “different spirit” than the other spies ~ a spirit of faith. They knew they were well able to take the land. This was not because of any apparent advantage they had in the natural realm. In fact,  they seemed to have every disadvantage. But they had this spirit of faith because they believed God’s promise that He had given them the land and that as they fought the giants, He would deliver them into their hands. He is able to do what He promised even when all the odds are stacked against us!! This is the spirit that is required to enter the land. Those who did not believe they were able to take the land, even though God had promised it, didn’t get to enter; they died in the wilderness.

But the point I want to primarily focus on in this first note is the point that was especially quickened to me as I ministered to my friend:

~ The Lord showed us that “the giants” are “our BREAD.” In other words, OUR FIGHT WITH THEM IS MEANT TO MAKE US STRONGER!

The confirmations God brought (through our pastor and others) of ALL these things He was speaking to us last year were AMAZING! And just a few weeks ago, as the Lord brought them back to me to share with my friend, He began surrounding me with precise confirmations again!

That same night, Jesse asked the Lord for a word from the huge stack of cards I’d written of the words the Lord had poured out for me day by day to sustain me. Out of all those cards (and we’re talking around 1,000), he opened to these very words about “the giants”!!! When I read back through those cards the next day, I knew God was re-confirming and re-emphasizing what He’d just led me to share with my friend, not only for her sake, but for me again as well. Once again, this revelation about the giants being our bread was the one that was especially standing out to me.

SHIELD and SHEPHERD Confirmations‏ – HFJ16

There have been so many confirmations of different words God’s been speaking lately that I’ve been trying to figure out which ones to send.

I had determined which I should send today, and was working on typing it up, when I then got these confirmations from the Shield and Shepherd note. So I’m going to go ahead and send these now and keep finishing the other. You may get it today or may not be till later….Here are the latest confirmations from this series.
