Saving the Best Wine of the Spirit for Last / Don’t Settle for Less than the Best

(FB post May 27)

Not settling for less than God’s “BEST” has also been a theme during these past several months. Last week as I was asking Him about that again, He gave John 2:1-11 twice – about Jesus saving the “BEST” wine till the END (which I believe is a type and shadow of what He will also do with the wine of His Spirit).

“Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the BEST till now.” John 2:5

So for those seeking Him diligently/persistently during this season leading up to Pentecost, crying out for the latter rain of His Spirit ~ Get ready for His BEST!

And remember the KEY to receiving His miracles as you seek ~

“Whatever He says to you, do it.” John 2:5

Praying we all receive every divine instruction needed for this season as we seek and that we respond with RADICAL, COMPLETE, and WHOLEHEARTED obedience!

“‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and in this place I will give peace,’ declares the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:9

confession #11‏ – HFJ58

Here’s confession #11:

“God is watching to make sure that His Word is fulfilled! (Jeremiah 1:12)”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you didn’t get a chance to see the FB posts about God urging us to be crying out for the Latter Rain in this season leading up to Pentecost, here is a link for one of those words and a powerful confirmation that came a few days later:
ASK the Lord for the Latter Rain
More Latter Rain Confirmation
What Robin said about PREPARATION has also been one of the KEY WORDs for us during this season!
Also, I posted briefly about additional confirmation I received for one of the themes shared in the last message – “PERSISTENCE” – and how the Lord has been connecting that to other words about “BREAKTHROUGH,” “SPEEDILY.” –
SPEEDILY!
Have a blessed and PERSISTENT weekend as you continue to press through to your breakthrough!
SPEEDILY!
The past several weeks the Lord has been surrounding us with words “BREAKTHROUGH” and “SPEEDILY” (and SUDDENLY). He gave me the passage I posted Tuesday (from Luke 8 – pasted below for those w/o FB) last week right after I asked him to confirm whether He was truly giving us the word “SPEEDILY.”
(FB post from May 20)
DON’T GIVE UP!
Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary. And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man, Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me.
Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says! And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf? I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them SPEEDILY.
However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth? Luke 18:1-8
(We do not cry out for judgment and vengeance to be executed speedily on people, but on the enemies in the spiritual realm who are deceiving them so the people can be set free.)
Earlier this week, I sent out a message to the healing/faith email group, that talked, in part, about how God was really speaking to us about “PERSEVERANCE” and “PERSISTENCE” in this season through the recurring Matthew 7 and Luke 11 passages to ASK and KEEP ON ASKING; SEEK and KEEP ON SEEKING; KNOCK and KEEP ON KNOCKING, as well as the parable of the PERSISTENT widow (Luke 8) that He gave us. Right after I sent that message, He took me back to one of the KEY passages He gave us as a prayer focus for this season leading up to Pentecost, and showed me that this passage also contained a message of PERSISTENCE and of refusing to be dissuaded by man (people) from wholeheartedly crying out for and going after everything God has for you. The word PERSISTENT/PERSISTENCE came up a couple of times again yesterday. God is applying this PERSISTENCE to the approach He’s calling us to take in SEEKING HIM in this season as well as to the approach He’s calling us to take in carrying out our assignments.
Believing for us all that as we press in to seek Him, to be filled to all the measure of the fullness of Him, and to fulfill His call with PERSISTENCE in this season  ~ growing in confident, cheerful, eager expectation of all He’s promised and professing/proclaiming the victory in advance (as He’s relentlessly telling us to do)  ~ that we will see His BREAKTHROUGH appear SPEEDILY!
Psalm 24 – A Psalm of David.
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness of it, the world and they who dwell in it. 2 For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the currents and the rivers. 3 Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This is the generation [description] of those who seek Him [who inquire of and for Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your face, [O God of] Jacob. Selah [pause, and think of that]! 7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you age-abiding doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is the King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O you gates; yes, lift them up, you age-abiding doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is [He then] this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah [pause, and think of that]! PSALM 24:1-10 AMP
My Food is to ACCOMPLISH and COMPLETELY FINISH His Work / P is For PERSISTENCE- Wrapping Up Confession #10‏ part 3 – HFJ57
(part 3 – continued from same day)
This requires another P word that we’re often not big fans of ~ PERSISTENCE
Recently when we seemed to not be getting the answers we needed in one area, we asked the Lord if He was just not wanting to speak to us about that right now and whether we should stop seeking about it. His response was that we were not to stop seeking, but that we were to keep pressing in even more. He immediately answered my question with,persistence2
“Ask and keep on asking and you will receive; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7 and Luke 11 AMP).
Though other translations do not draw out this dimension of persistence intended in this passage (by telling us “and keep on asking”…”and keep on seeking”…”and keep on knocking”), the Amplified has version has best captured Jesus’ meaning (as contained in the Greek verb tenses He used). He brought multiple confirmations of this passage and theme. (In fact, I just noticed as I was transferring this from email to the blog that this word was also included in part 1 of this message – in the Hebrews 12:1-3 passage – where it says we need STEADY and ACTIVE PERSISTENCE, in addition to our PATIENT ENDURANCE). Among those confirmations, He also took us to the account of the Persistent widow in Luke 18.
Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
... Andpersistence will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf? I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them SPEEDILY. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [PERSISTENCE in] faith on the earth? Luke 18:1, 7-8 (see whole parable above)
Often when we don’t find the Lord in the place we’ve typically found Him (through the ways we’ve typically sought Him), it’s because He’s trying to draw us in to a deeper dimension than we’ve ever been. If we give up and quit, we will miss out on going to another level in intimacy with Him and discovery of Him ~ and will miss the answers, instructions, directions, revelation that He wants and needs us to receive to walk out our destiny. He applied these passages on PERSISTENCE not only to our approach to seeking Him, but also to the approach He’s calling for us to take in carrying out the things He’s called us to do. He wants us to develop Patience, Perseverance, and Persistence as we walk out His will. Hope these thoughts encourage and strengthen you in your journey today!
Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament), Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] WORKS IN YOU AND ACCOMPLISHES that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it). Hebrews 13:20-21
Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will HIMSELF COMPLETE AND MAKE YOU WHAT YOU OUGHT TO BE, ESTABLISH AND GROUND YOU SECURELY, and STRENGTHEN, and SETTLE YOU. To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it). I Peter 5:6-11
I leave you with the confirmation of these messages (on wrapping up confession #10) from Ed’s devo today:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“I have brought you glory on earth by FINISHING THE WORK YOU GAVE ME TO DO.” John 17:4 NIV

  • It is to God’s glory, and it brings Him honor, when we do what He asks us to do.
  • COMPLETING and FINISHING THE TASKS GOD HAS GIVEN US IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE – that we DO and not just HEAR – and actually carry out God’s will.
  • It goes without saying that we also ought to be listening to know what God is saying before we can even do it.

Prayer: Lord help me to follow the example of Jesus to be one that hears and does what your will is that I may glorify you at all times. Amen. ~ Ed Traut (Copyright, Prophetic Life Ministries)

My Food is to ACCOMPLISH and COMPLETELY FINISH His Work / PERSEVERANCE MUST FINISH Its Work – Wrapping Up Confession #10‏ part 2 – HFJ56

(part 2 – continued from same day)

Just as Jesus said that HIS FOOD is TO DO THE WILL of the One who sent Him – to ACCOMPLISH and COMPLETELY FINISH the work He sent Him to do – the same can be said of the WORD. The Word’s FOOD is TO DO THE WILL OF the One who sent it – to Accomplish what He desires and to Achieve the purpose for which He sent it. This implies that the Word, and Jesus the Living Word, CANNOT BE SATISFIED apart from DOING the FATHER’s WILL.

Again, we must also make the application to ourselves. If the Word and Jesus (the Living Word) are truly abiding IN US – then it/He will not be able to be satisfied unless it/He is accomplishing what God desires and achieving the purpose for which God sent it/Him in and through our lives. We will have divine discontent and never be able to be filled or satisfied until we get in alignment with His will for our lives and begin doing what He created us to do. There will be a hunger in us that compels us to seek out His will for our lives and do it. And, as the “Hold Fast” series emphasized – this is usually not something that we accomplish overnight – but is a process that requires ENDURANCE perseverance2and PERSEVERANCE to see all the way through to completion.

Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of STEADFAST PATIENCE and ENDURANCE, SO THAT YOU MAY PERFORM AND FULLY ACCOMPLISH THE WILL OF GOD, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised. Hebrews 10:35 – 36

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops PERSEVERANCE. PERSEVERANCE MUST FINISH ITS WORK so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4

I absolutely LOVE how this translation says Perseverance MUST FINISH ITS WORK. To me, this personifies Perseverance and reveals this is its very nature and essence. Just like the Word and Jesus, the Living Word, Perseverance MUST FINISH ITS WORK. When we are filled with the Word and with Jesus, His character and nature of Perseverance will be at work in us to continue compelling and provoking us to not give up or allow our hearts/faith to fail or our minds to faint or break, but to keep pressing on and pressing in, to keep HOLDING ON and HOLDING FAST, and to ENDURE until we FINISH THE WORK He’s given us.

perseveranceWe have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance. II Thessalonians 3:4-5

My Food is to ACCOMPLISH and COMPLETELY FINISH His Work – Wrapping Up Confession #10 part 1 – HFJ55

wrapping up confession #10:

“Not only do His Words penetrate completely and perform with precision, but they do not go out and return empty-handed.  They ACCOMPLISH what God desires, and ACHIEVE the purpose for which He sent them. (Hebrews 4:12, Isaiah 55:10-12)”

I’d still been praying about whether to just move on to #11 or whether to send the other direction I felt like the Lord took me with confession #10 before we transitioned. I believe the Lord gave me the additional confirmation I was looking for this morning to go ahead and share the other part of confession #10 (from Ed Traut’s devo – at the end).

As you may recall, on other confessions He’s led us to add an additional dimension of revelation by making the application that JESUS is THE WORD made flesh. We can make that application to this confession as well. JESUS, God’s Word made flesh, did not go out and return empty-handed. HE ACCOMPLISHED what God desired and ACHIEVED the purpose for which God SENT HIM.

In the past years, God profoundly connected this revelation for me with several of Jesus’ statements, including John 17:14 (included in Ed’s devo at the end) and John 4:34:

Jesus said to them, My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to ACCOMPLISH and COMPLETELY FINISH His work. John 4:34

When we first began confession #10, God brought this verse back to mind and led my thoughts in this direction as well  ~ to meditate on how Jesus FULLY ACCOMPLISHED what God desired and ACHIEVED the purpose for which God sent Him – just as the Word does – because HE IS the WORD made flesh. Jesus has already accomplished and achieved what was necessary to provide the way for our salvation, our reconciliation back to intimate relationship with the Father, our healing, deliverance, provision, protection ~ our breakthrough and victory we need in every area. As we walk out the battles that stand between us and the manifestation of those victories (slaying and dispossessing the giants in the land so we can possess what God promised), we must continually remember that our steps of faith in obedience to God are to enforce the victory Jesus already promised, won for us, and made possible for us to receive by faith in Him. The same day I began to meditate on this, I knew God was confirming that He was truly taking my thoughts in this direction when I heard Jesse pray during communion, thanking God that Jesus “ACCOMPLISHED” ALL that the Father sent Him to do! (He had not read my email with confession #10 yet, so that is not what inspired this particular word/revelation to be on his mind).

The Lord also connected these thoughts to other passages:

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, WILL CONTINUE HIS WORK until it is finally FINISHED on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6

As long as we continue abiding in Jesus and His Word, God will continue accomplishing and achieving the purpose for which He sent Jesus into our lives.

Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with PATIENT ENDURANCE and STEADY and ACTIVE PERSISTENCE the appointed course of the race that is set before us,Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] (the “AUTHOR” of our faith – “one that takes the lead in any thing and thus affords an example, a predecessor in a matter, PIONEER”) and is also its FINISHER [bringing it to maturity and perfection] (In other words, JESUS FINISHES what He starts! As long as we abide in Him, He IS ACCOMPLISHING and ACHIEVING in our FAITH the purpose for which He was sent – therefore causing our FAITH to ACCOMPLISH and ACHIEVE its purpose). He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, ENDURED the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.Just think of Him Who ENDURED from sinners such GRIEVOUS OPPOSITION and BITTER HOSTILITY against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], SO THAT YOU MAY NOT GROW WEARY OR EXHAUSTED, LOSING HEART AND RELAXING AND FAINTING IN YOUR MINDS. Hebrews 12:1-3

This was a powerful verse to receive from the Lord as we prayed that our minds would not break and our faith would not fail. As we see at the end, this is a prescription to keep us from growing weary and exhausted, losing heart (leading to our faith failing) and fainting in our minds (leading to our minds breaking). The Lord has emphasized to us so strongly in the past 3 1/2 years that Jesus did not quit and give up when things got hard. He pressed all the way through the pain in order to pay whatever price was necessary to do the whole will of God. Thank God He did!! Think of where we would be otherwise! finish sign - complete the workOur gratitude and love for what He’s done for us should now also cause us to be determined to do the same in return for Him. We must dig in our heels and be committed not to give up somewhere along the way in the process to accomplishing His will – no matter how hard it gets – but be determined to pay whatever price is necessary and to endure whatever we must endure to finish all He’s called us to do!

God also connected this passage back to our previous themes about the importance of fixing our eyes on Jesus, on the unseen, invisible, eternal truths. And from this, He also began to emphasize again the critical importance of our FOCUS – both:

  • FOCUSING on Him and His promises, rather than what we see or feel in the natural realm... AND
  • FOCUSING on what He’s called us to do and identifying and stripping away ALL that would DISTRACT and DETER us from the high call He’s given us

~~~~~~~~~~
As a side note, this is another one of the passages God has given us in the past years with the revelation of how it will help us combat attacks against our hearts and minds: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
At times it is our desire to UNDERSTAND things we can’t yet UNDERSTAND that causes us to come to the brink of our minds breaking and faith failing. God’s antidote to this is not to quit seeking Him for UNDERSTANDING, but to make sure that as we seek Him ~ until that wisdom (understanding, knowledge, direction, instruction, etc.) that He promises to give is made known to us ~ that we resist anxiety and worry and instead allow His peace to guard our hearts and minds. This is a peace that is available for us to possess even when we don’t yet understand (a peace that transcends all understanding ~ or lack there of).
We can also connect this to: Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, (seek and submit to Him) and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
ASK The Lord for the Latter Rain
(posted to FB May 15)
Some may remember the post from Feb 12 about all the confirmations God was giving for notes 2 & 3 –Get Your Super On” & “Are you Full of It?
(Feb 12 post – Fill Me Up God!)
This emphasis on crying out for the Latter Rain has continued –
“Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain.” Zechariah 10:1
During our seeking before Easter, we felt like the Lord was telling us to continue on through Pentecost – particularly focusing on crying out for this! We received several more confirmations even this week. Monday night we finally watched a broadcast that had aired a week earlier – part 1 of Rick Renner’s home group about the symbols used to represent the Holy Spirit in Scripture. In addition to talking about His attributes as FIRE (all consuming, purging, purifying, refining, burning out the chaff), DEW, WATER, OIL, and DOVE, they also talked about Him as RAIN, and about the need for us to be crying out for the LATTER RAIN at this time. As soon as we finished watching, I “just happened” to read a devo from KCM that talked about the same thing!!! (below) We knew the Lord was continuing to confirm this message! I was planning to post yesterday, but didn’t get to it. So last night when we heard our pastor also talk about the need for the whole church to go to a new level of anointing – quoting one of the very verses I’d also just read the same day, I knew we’d better go ahead and get this out.
God is truly emphasizing in this season that IT’S TIME to be hungering, thirsting, and crying out for Him and the fullness of His Spirit like never before. As mentioned in the “Get Your Super On” note, this is one thing that He actually encourages us to desire SO INTENSELY that it can be likened to coveting or lusting after it – from a motivation of love – compelled by our deep compassion and longing to meet the needs of the church and the world around us! GET READY, SEEK HIS FACE, and RECEIVE THE RAIN!
It’s Beginning to Rain
Kenneth Copeland
And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. – Joel 2:24-25, 28
If you’re like me, right now you’re thinking, Oh man, I want to be in on this move of God in the last days. I don’t want to be on the fringes of it either—I want to be right in the middle! You can be—if you’ll get yourself ready. How? Primarily by doing these three things:
First, prepare yourself for the greatest criticism you’ve ever experienced. There’s never been a move of God that’s avoided criticism, and this outpouring will be no exception. If Jesus couldn’t avoid it, neither can you. Be determined to pay no mind to any criticism.
Second, get the sin out of your life. You know how. Just repent! And make a change. There must be a new fire of holiness burning and sweeping through the people of faith in this land. We’re free people, made free by the Son of the living God. But we are never free from obeying the Word and the ways of God. That’s where our freedom lies.
Third, pray for the rain. Zechariah 10:1 tells us to pray for the rain in the time of the latter rain. Well, the time is here. So we need to pray for the fullness of it.
We must get in our prayer closets. Go before God and turn off the pleasures of this world. Turn off the loud noise the devil is making out there. All that entertainment is only meant to do one thing and that’s to distract you away from prayer and the things of God’s Word. Don’t let it succeed. Instead start praying and using your faith. It’s time to pray and intercede until this outpouring bursts fully upon our land and the lands around the world.
What a sight it will be when it does! Years ago when I was praying about this final rain, the Lord said to me, I’ve been manifested as the rain. I’ve been manifested as the fire or as lightning. I’ve been manifested as the wind. But I’ve never been manifested as all four at the same time. Now, in the time of the former and latter rain, you’re going to see all of Me for the first time ever.
Think of it! A spiritual storm of the power of the living God. And it’s not coming in another century or two. Or even another decade or two. It’s coming now, so get ready for it! Glory to God, it’s beginning to rain!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!” Luke 11:9-13

HOLD FAST YOUR PROFESSION – pt 8‏ – HFJ54

(part 8 –pt 1 pt 2, pt 3,  pt 4pt 5 pt 6 ,  pt 7 )

Then yesterday when I re-watched the clip from the movie (shared at link above), I felt the Lord so strongly making the point through it that it is the HAMMER (representing the WORD) that makes Thor what he is! “It’s not Thor; it’s the HAMMER (the WORD).” Immediately, He brought back to my mind a scene from another movie He led us to watch during a special time of seeking Him in 2011. He had spoken so much to us through that film that we truly had an ENCOUNTER with Him through it. (I realized when He brought it back to my remembrance how it also fits perfectly with note 10 in the prophetic series – “Formed in the Secret Place ~ Discovering Destiny” – about having to finally BELIEVE who He’s called us to be and what He’s called us to do – which is definitely another theme He’s brought many confirmations of in this season). The film was Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. He brought back to mind the scene where Alice fought the dragon – “Jabberwocky.” When she walked out on the battlefield to face that dragon (her “goliath”), it was not Alice that the enemy addressed (or feared) – it was the SWORD she carried (the vorpal sword – which, again, represents THE WORD). The enemy addressed this SWORD as his ancient foe (addressing Alice only as its insignificant bearer!)!! This perfectly represents the situation between the enemy and the WORD of God – his Ancient Foe Who put on flesh and came into this world to seal his doom – and who will eventually completely destroy him. Then He showed me another scene from the film where Absalom (who represents the Holy Spirit) told Alice as she prepared for battle, “The vorpal SWORD knows what it wants – ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HOLD ONTO IT!” I was overwhelmed in awe by this additional confirmation of our theme  – “HOLD ON” – “HOLD FAST” to the WORD, PROMISES, and to our PROFESSION of FAITH based on the WORD that He’s given us!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!!

post about ~ Thor’s HAMMER and Alice’s Vorpal SWORD

I loved these 2 visual demonstrations from these films about how it’s NOT US, but it’s the WORD that will ensure our success! It’s the WORD that will secure our victory! It’s the WORD that WILL  make us the overcomers and conquerors that God has called us to be! Again, as discussed last week in connection with our verse for confession #10 – Isaiah 55:11 – since the WORD IS going to ACCOMPLISH what God desires and ACHIEVE the purpose for which He sent it, if we will HOLD ONTO IT – WE WILL TOO! If we HOLD ON and don’t let go, it will carry us through to its final destination of victory!

As mentioned in the last note, the Lord showed us this attack was not isolated to us, but was widespread and impacting many others simultaneously. He has continued to show us other examples of that. So I pray that by exposing this present strategy of the enemy in this season that it has encouraged others of you to also continue to HOLD ON and HOLD FAST to the Word and your PROFESSION of it! And if you weren’t hit with this battle at this time, I pray that the Holy Spirit will bring this to your remembrance if/when you do face such an attack. I know there are other confirmations of our theme the past week+ that I’m failing to include – including others about not giving up, about the parable of the sower, other confirmations of Isaiah 55:11, and even another strong confirmation of the things God was also emphasizing about making sure we’re DOERS of the Word in this process as well. But I wanted to end this note with one from THIS MORNING ~ today’s blessing from John Hagee Ministries:

And now may the Lord bless you, and may the Lord keep you, and may the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and may the Lord be gracious unto you and give you His peace; may you walk in the DIVINE PROFESSION THAT YOU ARE VICTORIOUS, in Jesus’ name, in EVERY dimension of your life, and that Satan has no claim over you or power over you, for Christ is Lord indeed; and the victory is yours, in Jesus’ name. Now, walk in that CONFESSION and that protection.  ~ John Hagee

!!!!!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD FOR MORE CONFIRMATION OF THIS! I PRAY this series has helped the importance He truly places on our PROFESSION (CONFESSION), and the power it has in our spiritual warfare against the enemy, to become deeper heart revelation for each one of us and that we will all truly begin to continually (as a FULL-TIME PROFESSION) PRO-CLAIM all that He has promised over our lives and circumstances! I think there’s still one more message inspired from confession #10 to come before we move on to #11! holdfast

PRAYING FOR ALL TO NEVER GIVE UP, but to HOLD ON/HOLD FAST and to make it all the way through to your total manifestation of victory in every area, in Jesus’ Name! Please pray for us too!
Laura

God has given so many amazing confirmations since the last message!!! I mentioned in a previous message that in mid April, I felt the Lord was leading me to start going back through one of the big stacks of Scripture cards from last year of all the things He poured out for me when that big health battle began. As I’ve been going through them, it’s been amazing to see how perfectly timed they’ve been with what I’m going through now. So Sunday night, as I picked up the stack to read more, I was looking forward to seeing what God was going to speak this time. The cards I went through that night began with a word from Ivan Tait’s book (Letters from God). As soon as I saw the Scripture it was based on, I knew it was another timely word about not giving up. As I continued to read, I was AMAZED at the confirmations! Hoping it was no coincidence that I was rereading this, but that God was truly giving us that word again for this season – I almost shared it with Jesse. But then I thought/prayed, “No. Instead of showing it to Jesse and then hoping together that it’s truly rhema from YOU (God), I’m going to keep it to myself and just ask that if it truly is a NOW WORD from YOU, that You will give it to him for us TONIGHT when we go to bed.” So I said nothing to Jesse about it. By the time we got in bed, I’d forgotten that I’d asked the Lord for that specific word, but I was still praying my normal prayer that He would speak to exactly what we most needed to hear in such a way that we would KNOW it was from Him. (He continually astounds us in answer to this request).

After Jesse read from our normal confessions list, he prayed for God to give us a word and then opened Ivan’s book and began to read. We have teased each other in the past about me nearly catapulting out of bed because of the words/confirmations that God gives – but this was probably one of the most drastic instances ever. By the grace of God, Jesse survived – though my catapulting caused him to feel like his heart would also catapult out of his chest. When I heard him read the date and the title of the very word I had privately asked the Lord to give us hours earlier, I shot straight up with a loud gasp. Jesse’s adrenaline was immediately through the roof! I had to apologize profusely and then explain what happened. After his blood pressure returned to normal, he was in awe too and we drank in every word as being straight from the Lord. I will share a portion of it here:

It began by talking about how Abraham did not weaken in faith when he saw the impossibility of his circumstances, but instead he was strengthened in faith because he knew God still had the power to do what He had promised. Part of it said, “DO NOT CAVE IN! (This went along with all the words about HOLDING ON – HOLDING FAST OUR PROFESSION – HOLDING FAST to HIS WORD/PROMISES! HOLDING FAST TO OUR DREAMS! DON’T GIVE UP; DON’T QUIT!) REACH into Me! REACH into My Strength! STRETCH YOURSELF into the storehouse of My FAITH. I AM NOT MOVED BY THE CIRCUMSTANCE YOU ARE IN; I DECIDE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU, AND MY DECISION FOR YOU IS MIRACLE BREAKTHROUGH. WHATEVER APPEARS IMPOSSIBLE, I WILL BRING INTO REALITY. PROCLAIM YOUR VICTORY NOW!” When I’d read it earlier in the evening, the part that said “PROCLAIM” YOUR VICTORY NOW was one of the strongest confirmations that had given me such HOPE that God was truly speaking this word to us NOW – in light of all the things He was speaking last week about PROFESSING, DECLARING, CONFESSING His Word – and especially in light of the revelation He brought back to mind that He’d given me a year or two ago from the word “PRO-CLAIM” (shared in part 2 of these HOLD FAST messages). We were so overwhelmed by God’s goodness to confirm this word for us in this undeniable way!

Then Monday morning, I turned on Joyce’s broadcast and was blown away by all the confirmations in her message: “Quitting is NOT an OPTION” (part 1) – including an emphasis on becomingNever_Give_UpPRISONERS OF HOPE” (which I mentioned, in part 5, God had already been speaking to us in light of our battle)!!! This passage (Zechariah 9:11-12) also talks about God’s declaration that He will restore DOUBLE to us (which is especially significant for us in light of the prophetic words over 2014 about DOUBLE portion). So we felt like, by giving us this word and confirmation again, God was also telling us to hold onto that specific hope and promise, despite the attacks we’ve endured. Joyce also talked about how on the way to the fulfillment of our dreams that God will give us little glimpses, sparks of HOPE, that are enough to cause us to “HOLD ON” and not give up – believing the “impossible” things He’s promised truly can/will happen for us if we don’t quit. (I’ve included links to Joyce’s 2 part program below.) I later saw that she also posted on FB that day: “We grow spiritually when we need to HANG ON to God and we’re HANGING ON for all that we’ve got” and “Dig in with both heels and say, ‘I am never going to quit and I am never going to give up. Devil, you just go wear yourself out bothering somebody else because I am going to get from the pit to the palace and you are not going to stop me.’

Over the weekend, we had finally watched the new Thor movie. So Monday morning, I wrote a FB post about what I felt the Lord was speaking through the “David and Goliath” scene from that movie – demonstrating the power of the WORD (represented by Thor’s HAMMER) to break the rock of stubborn opposition in our lives (Jeremiah 23:29). He also brought to mind how David had PROCLAIMED (Pro-Claimed) his VICTORY IN ADVANCE when he ran toward Goliath on the battlefield (I Samuel 17:45-46).
