Formed in the Secret Place ~ Discovering Destiny – part 5

“Get in Alignment with Your Assignment”
(As our worship pastor, Marcus Ford, says)

In order to wage this warfare to overcome contradictory and opposing circumstances effectively, the transformation also needs to occur inside our own hearts and minds to bring us into complete alignment and agreement with God’s Word and will.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but BE TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

As we’ve sought God about all His words about LIMITLESS, NO LIMITS, and other words He has given, and prayed to walk in the full revelation and manifestation of this, the issue of being transformed by continuing to renew our minds to all the astounding things He’s promised has become paramount.

“We prefer to venerate our HEROES because we believe more in their ability to change and be TRANSFORMED than we do in our own. We vicariously give lip service to victory while we remain chained to our own LIMITED perceptions of what is possible in us, because we believe that we are somehow different and less likely to be effective or successful. Overcoming the mental blockages in us enables things to happen through us.”  ~ Mark Chironna (4/2)

In addition to more confirmations of HEROES and overcoming limitations to the point of becoming UNLIMITED, I noticed that this was also confirmation of things the Lord had just been re-emphasizing about the need to bring our Alice -Neo IM-TRYING-TO-FREE-YOUR-MIND.-BUT-I-CAN-ONLY-SHOWthoughts back into alignment with the dreams/prophecies/promises that He has spoken over our lives until we are convinced of who He has called and created us to be and begin to SEE ourselves doing what He has called us to do. This alignment involves more than just having mental information about what God has said; it involves allowing that information to become heart revelation by meditating on what God has spoken until we reach the point that when we speak it, not only our mouths, but our hearts are in alignment and agreement with God. When we come into this degree of alignment with God’s Word as we declare what He’s promised, it’s full power and potential is UNLEASHED to accomplish what He desires and achieve the purpose for which He sent it.

(I love that I found this image that combines Alice in Wonderland with the Matrix, since the Lord had spoken profoundly to us through both films and had connected their messages. Alice (in Tim Burton version) and Neo both had to come to believe who they were called to be in order to accomplish their destiny – discussed below)

“Alignment comes from bringing your thoughts, your words, and your ways into agreement with God’s words and ways of doing and being right. When you enter into divine alignment with the words, plans, and purposes of God, you will see your profession (of faith) come to pass. …” Rick Renner

“He’s Beginning to Believe”

The quote in this heading is taken from The Matrix. After the deluge of words and confirmations of God reminding us that the INVISIBLE, UNSEEN realities in the spiritual realm must become MORE REAL to us than the visible, seen realities in the natural realm, we felt He may be inspiring us to watch the first Matrix movie again to soak in all the spiritual analogies in that film which perfectly illustrate these themes. So we watched it again with this expectation in mind, and were not disappointed in this regard. But we were taken by surprise by other unexpected messages/confirmations we received through it. We had completely forgotten one of the main story lines of the need for Neo to come to believe for himself the prophecies that had been spoken about him! As we watched, we realized this process of him working through his doubts and questions in order to eventually be convinced about his identity/destiny was something God was speaking to us. Sure enough, immediately after watching, confirmations began to pour in from multiple different directions of the need to become convinced of who you are and of your destiny.

“God’s Word to you is your empowerment and might to fulfill your dream (Judges 6:14). AGREEING WITH GOD’S WORD TO YOU and ABOUT YOU — and SEEING YOURSELF AS HE HAS CALLED YOU —will help you accomplish what He will require of you.” – Rick Renner

Rick referenced Judges 6, where we find the story of Gideon. The Lord has given us this story repeatedly in the past several years. Of course, one of the points many draw from this account is how Gideon saw himself as inadequate and incapable, while God called him a “mighty man of valor” (though according to the natural eye and circumstances, he appeared to be anything but). After requesting repeated confirmations to be sure that God was REALLY calling him to accomplish the seemingly impossible task he was given, Gideon was finally convinced enough of God’s call to begin stepping out in obedience to fulfill it. We see the same kind of reluctance with Moses, who initially attempted to persuade Faith Quotes10God that He had chosen the wrong man for the monumental assignment given to him. The Lord recently also showed us similar uncertainty through Joshua’s life as well.

Coming to believe who we are in God’s plan and what He’s destined for us to do is vital for us to be able to accept and fulfill our assignments. Our unbelief in these matters will hinder us from taking the steps of obedience in faith that are necessary to reach our destiny and will LIMIT what God is able to do through us. The 10 spies sent in to scout out the good land God promised, who saw themselves as “grasshoppers” in comparison to the giants that stood in between them and their inheritance (failing to believe God would enable them to defeat them) died in the wilderness, never receiving what was promised. But those who saw the giants as grasshoppers in comparison to GOD, who were confident that they were WELL ABLE to do what God told them despite the “impossible” looking odds (because they knew He was with them to enable them to do it), eventually possessed the land.

Again we see the vital importance of what we FOCUS on and FIX OUR EYES on. If we look at ourselves to determine if we have what it takes to overcome all opposition and fulfill God’s “impossible” assignments, we will have a LIMITED vision indeed. But when we choose to look at God and what He promised, knowing HE has what it takes and that He’s with us and in us, we tap into the LIMITLESS. The Matrix shows that we must “free our minds” from the limited and lesser reality of the world perceived by our natural senses (representing the natural realm) through the revelation of the SUPERIOR reality of the “real world” (representing the spiritual realm). When that reality became MORE REAL to Neo than what he could see, hear, and feel with his limited natural senses, he became UNLIMITED, able to do the “impossible.” God calls this “renewing our minds” with the Truth of His Word.TheMatrix

“I’m going to show these people what you don’t want them to see. …I’m going to show them a world without borders or boundaries (of the natural realm), a world where ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Where we go from there, is a choice I leave to you…” (Neo)

“If you can believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM WHO BELIEVES.” ~ Jesus   Mark 9:23

Truth Will Trump and Transform Fact

But it’s not just a matter of our destiny needing to be FORMED, it’s a matter of other things needing to be TRANSFORMED ~ our circumstances and ourselves.dangerous-path1

Learning to “see” the invisible is not enough. Most of us who have stepped out to follow an instruction from the Lord know that the enemy doesn’t roll out the red carpet and cheer us on to the fulfillment of God’s vision and calling for our lives. His opposition and attacks meant to distract, delay, detour, derail, and destroy us in certain seasons seem unending. Therefore, it’s usually not just a matter of “seeing” the invisible and suddenly the “impossible” appears. It’s typically a matter of having such a powerful and compelling vision of the invisible that we’re finally immovable, unshakeable, unbreakable, and unstoppable in our relentless determination to overcome all opposition on the way to achieving the “impossible” (as He’s repeatedly stressed in the past several years). For this reason, the Lord has been reminding us that we must come to the place where the invisible is even MORE REAL to us than the visible.

He began to repeatedly emphasize that we must choose to FIX OUR EYES ON and FOCUS ON, the INVISIBLE, UNSEEN, ETERNAL TRUTHS of His Word in the SPIRITUAL REALM, which is Matrix-Green-Code-1600x1280SUPERIOR to the visible, seen, temporary facts of our circumstances in the natural realm (those facts that are opposing and attempting to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God’s promises for our lives – II Corinthians 10:3-6). He reminded us that if we will choose, by faith, to focus on and STAY IN AGREEMENT with His Invisible, Eternal Truths, they have the POWER to TRUMP and TRANSFORM the visible, temporary facts that threaten to defeat us. The Invisible Spiritual realm is the SUPERIOR, PARENT force. It gave birth to the visible natural realm and has authority over it. It is through the invisible that the visible comes into being; and it is through the invisible that the visible can be transformed (not just things that are possible for man to change/transform, but things that are “impossible” for natural man). Because of this perspective that the spiritual realm is the SUPERIOR reality, as mentioned in note 8 – He was reminding us that contradictory and opposing circumstances to what He has promised are lies, deceptions, illusions, and shadows, in comparison to the Truth of His Word. As stated in the Healing Confessions book ~ we don’t deny that they exist, but we deny them the RIGHT to exist in our lives because of what Jesus has done for us. We take captive all thoughts that attempt to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God and His Word for our lives, cast them down, and bring them into obedience to Christ. Though these are some of the themes He had us focusing on in the Healing Journey email group in March, He also began making application to walking out our destiny.

He gave confirmation of these themes through a KCM devotional on 2/20,

“People always talk about building their ‘dream home.’ But did you know that you can begin to build dreams out of God’s Word? (confirmation of God forming our destiny inside of us through His Word – as discussed in part 2) … God intended for man to be a dreamer. … But He didn’t intend for us to be LIMITED by natural thoughts and circumstances. He meant for us to DREAM BEYOND THEM. (more confirmation of NO LIMITS/LIMITLESS and SEEING BEYOND what we can see). That’s what Abraham did. He locked in to God’s dream—and it was BIGGER THAN ANYTHING HE COULD HAVE THOUGHT ON HIS OWN. It will be that way for you too. God’s dream for you is bigger than your dream for yourself. It is exceedingly, abundantly beyond all you can ask or think! (See Ephesians 3:20.) Once you get that dream INSIDE YOU, things will begin to change. No, all your problems won’t disappear overnight any more than mine did. But you’ll respond to them differently. When they rise up in front of you and threaten to defeat you, God’s dream will stir in your heart. You’ll start saying, “Wait just a minute…. I don’t have to tolerate this situation. I happen to be a child of the King, Himself. He sets my table in the presence of my enemies. No weapon formed against me can prosper!” (See Deuteronomy 28:13; Psalm 23:5; Isaiah 54:17.) Building your dream home is great! But building God’s dreams INSIDE OF YOU, and then seeing those dreams come to pass is glorious!(Copyright, Kenneth Copeland Ministries)

if you can see through the illusion then you are the solutionKenneth demonstrates this principle that we do not deny the existence of the contradictory or opposing circumstances, but we deny them the RIGHT to exist in our lives because of what Jesus has done! (He speaks in terms of refusing to TOLERATE them, and instead describes how we overcome them through the power of God’s Word/promises.)

Note 10 – Part 3  (continued from same day) (Navigation forward or backward at bottom of screen)

SEE THE INVISIBLE; DO THE IMPOSSIBLE

In past notes, I mentioned how the Lord had been giving a series of words based on Hebrews 11:1. I first noticed this theme emerging on 2/12 when my friend (Tamra) posted about how He helped her find her lost phone: “My 11:11 p.m. alarm went off on my iPhone… the Song? Hebrews 11:1 The chorus: FAITH TO SEE BEYOND WHAT I CAN SEE. Faith to know that You will do anything, etc. …” She concluded, “Ringer on silence. Alarm not on silence.”

It was the last part that struck me that night – I saw the spiritual implications of God trying to call His people, but being unable to get through. When we’re not “getting” the messages God is trying to send us about something, eventually He may SOUND THE ALARM to get our attention so we’ll seek Him, find Him, and hear what He needs to tell us. I felt Tamra’s words resonating as another confirmation of the declaration God’s been giving ~ “ALARM NOT ON SILENCE” ~ meaning “The alarm IS SOUNDING.”

Hebrews 11:1 began to emerge as a major theme from that moment. That same night, the Lord gave us a word from Ivan’s Tait’s book that said, “Trust Me and put your hand in Mine. Lay your heart at My feet. Surrender your thoughts toleap of faith - off cliff Me. TRUST WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE; TRUST AND JUMP OFF THE CLIFF OF FAITH. Live like a HERO. Act like a CHAMPION. Think like a saint. Love like the redeemed. ….” (continuing the HERO and CHAMPION theme as well as the Hebrews 11:1 theme).

The next day, the JHM devo said:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hebrews 11:1—Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
FAITH IS THE SOUL DARING TO GO FURTHER THAN THE NATURAL EYE CAN SEE!
NOAH BUILT AN ARK without even having seen the first drop of rain, because FAITH IS BEING “CERTAIN OF WHAT WE DO NOT SEE.”  Faith doesn’t demand miracles; faith produces miracles. … Faith is a choice, not an argument; a decision, not a debate;  a COMMITMENT, not a controversy. Faith gives us the power to walk FEARLESSLY, run CONFIDENTLY and live VICTORIOUSLY.  … Even if our faith cannot yet move mountains, it can give us the power to climb over them. …
~ Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4)
~ “Without faith it is impossible to please God? (Hebrews 11:6)
~ “Everything is possible for him who believes” (Mark 9:23) …
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We continued to receive additional confirmations after this. We couldn’t help but notice not only the multiple references to Hebrews 11:1, but also the themes ~

faith-Augustine quote~ SEEING BEYOND what we can see;
~ DARING to go FURTHER than natural eyes can see;
~ TRUSTING what we do not see;
~ Being CERTAIN of what we do not see

~  and as a result being able to jump off the cliff of faith ( / “have the GUTS to get in the car” – as mentioned in note 6)….  This theme continued in the coming days and weeks, with more confirmations of both Hebrews 11:1, additional verses about SEEING THE INVISIBLE, SEEING THE UNSEEN (Hebrews 11:3; 12:2, II Corinthians 4:18, Romans 4:17), etc., as well as the Rick Renner discussion of Hebrews 11:1 which tied this theme back with our previous ones (as seen in note 5). We began to realize He was connecting this theme to all the previous words about being willing to lay all on the altar of sacrifice, total commitment, and fulfilling our destiny.

Just after putting these words/confirmations in this note from my journal (on 3/19), a Paula status popped up on my screen, saying, “If you can see the invisible, you can do the impossible!!  #‎Faith” !! God’s orchestration is amazing! When I asked the Lord to show me this principle in Scripture (to measure all by the PLUMB LINE of His Word, as discussed in note 9), He immediately connected Matthew 17:14-20, Mark 11:22-24 (see v. 12-26) and Hebrews 11 in my mind.

He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have FAITH [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO YOU. Matthew 17:20

*****

And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have FAITH in God [constantly]. Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. Mark 11:22-24

*****

Now FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] DO NOT SEE and THE CONVICTION OF THEIR REALITY [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Hebrews 11:1

When we reach the point of FAITH, we are SURE and CERTAIN of what we DO NOT YET SEE with our natural eyes (we are SEEING WHAT IS STILL INVISIBLE by eyes of the Spirit ~ through God’s Word/promises). When we’re in see the invisiblefaith, SEEING THE INVISIBLE realities of God’s Word so clearly that we’re FULLY PERSUADED of them and do not doubt, we’re enabled to achieve the “impossible” things God has called us to accomplish.

After transferring these words from my journal, rereading them, and praying again for the Lord to help us fully comprehend and do this, that night (3/19), I was once again in awe when our pastor read II Corinthians 4:18 (one of the passages that had come up multiple times in this process) and talked about SEEING God’s vision for our lives ~ “There’s a whole world for us to see in Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit ~ things that the Lord has already prepared and provided for (us). Seeing in the Spirit isn’t just demonic things, it’s also powerful things the Lord has prepared for you and showed you and once you see it, faith has come and the doubt leaves. … The difference between failure and success is revelation knowledge.” Though we haven’t seen the things God has for us yet with our natural eyes or heard them with our natural ears, God wants to reveal them to us by His Spirit.

But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. I Corinthians 2:9-10

Our pastor also talked about FOCUSING on where we want to be (walking in God’s revealed will and purpose for our lives) rather than focusing on where we are now (more confirmation of all the words He’s given about FOCUSING on and FIXING OUR EYES on the unseen, invisible in order to SEE BEYOND what we can see).

Note 10 – Part 2  (Navigation forward and backward at bottom of screen)

Destiny is Conceived, Formed, and Carried in the Spiritual Womb

hebrews11_3Just as this visible world was created and formed by God’s Invisible Word, God’s Word over our lives is the Invisible Material He wants us to use to create and form the “world” (dreams/destiny) He desires for us in the visible realm. His WORD will bring into existence the destiny He’s spoken over us. (John 1:1-3, Luke 1:37, Isaiah 55:10-11)

By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3

*****

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. Luke 1:37)

Yet we know our faith and cooperation also plays an important role in the process. So He’s been re-emphasizing to us the need to meditate on His Word and promises so much that they begin to “FORM” His vision for our lives inside us. formed in wombHe then began to compare this to the intricate process in the natural of how He FORMS and FASHIONS each of us in our mother’s wombs. He repeatedly brought up passages from Psalm 139, showing me the connection between this process in the natural realm and the things He was speaking to me about the process in the spiritual realm of our destiny being FORMED inside us. Just as we initially CONCEIVE His destiny for our lives through the Seed of His Word (through Him speaking to us about His plans for our lives, through which we become pregnant with His promises, so that we’re then EXPECTING), by continuing in Him/His Word the destiny continues to be formed in us – piece by piece, part by part.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! Psalm 139:13-18 NLT

Just as all of our parts (or days) were written in His book before any of them came into existence, all the parts we need to fulfill our destiny were also written in His book in advance. As we abide in Him and His Word, He continues to form that destiny in our spiritual womb. As He was speaking last July, like an EXPECTANT mother, we are ENLARGED in order to carry the dream/destiny in the waiting (rather than diminished) (links to those posts below). He will continue to intricately weave it together, adding piece by piece until the vision/destiny is fully formed and due season arrives for us to give birth. Faith is like our spiritual ultrasound equipment, enabling us to “see” the destiny God’s Word is forming on the inside, even while it’s still “invisible” to the natural eye. And faith in that Word will also eventually enable us to bring forth what has been formed on the inside into manifestation on the outside ~ giving birth to our destiny.

Discover Your Place in the Secret Place

Note 9 talked, in part, about how God needs us! He needs us to recognize our worth and value to Him and our significance to His end-times plan. He also needs us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, to seek Him diligently, and to truly know Him and His Word. These are all important parts of helping us discover the unique place and purpose for which we were created, and for helping us fulfill our roles as His Body, SALT, Light, and PILLARS.

A few months ago He said, “NOW is the time to pray.” While I believe that referred to the urgent need for intercession right now over all that’s going on in the nation(s), I also believe He was indicating that we’re in a critical season for His people to seek Him and find our purpose, place, and the next steps to fulfilling our life assignments. In November, I posted about how the Lord had been emphasizing the brevity of life several months earlier and the necessity, therefore, of being focused on fulfilling our assignments. He had been showing us that this was not only a message He was giving us personally, but that many others in the body were receiving the same word, leading us to believe He’s indicating that the remaining time is brief for all of us collectively (post from November). Recently, these kinds of words have been precisely confirmed again.

We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. John 9:4 NLT

*****

Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest. Matthew 9:37-38 AMP

Those who have been in the process of preparation and have stood before the Lord saying, “Here am I; send me,” may now find ourselves on the receiving end of that prayer, among those He is thrusting out into the harvest. Some of us may already know the BIG PICTURE of what He’s called us to accomplish, but have no idea how to fill in the details to get from here to there. Others may not even know what thePrint overall picture is. But no matter where we are in the discovery process of His purpose and plan for our lives, He longs to reveal the answers we need. As we draw close to Him, He promises to draw close to us. Through our intimate relationship with Him, He can unveil His divine destiny for our lives, imparting His vision and His plan for fulfilling it. As we continually seek Him, He can give us staggering prophetic promises, life-altering instructions, confirmations that we’re on the right track, course corrections when we’re off track, power to persevere, strength to overcome, adjustments to our character necessary to advance, admonition to stay somewhere we want to leave, prodding to leave somewhere we want to stay, a long term mission, a short term strategy, a divine instruction for a giant leap of faith, or a gentle nudge for a nearly imperceptible step. But whatever He needs to reveal to us along the way, we don’t want to miss it! His people needlessly perish for lack of knowledge while ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him, awaiting our discovery (Hosea 4:6, Colossians 2:2-3). He has given us the astounding gift of direct access into His Presence. He has every answer we need! He IS every answer we need!

Thank God He did not leave us as spiritual orphans to fend for ourselves or figure things out on our own. He has given us His Word and His Spirit to be with us and in us, to teach us His ways and His will, to guide us into all Truth, to remind us of everything He’s spoken, to counsel us, instruct us, coach, train, and mentor us. He wants to give us wise and discerning hearts which do not make decisions/judgments based on our natural senses, but according to what He reveals by His Spirit.

Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant [experientially] known to them. Psalm 25:12-14

*****

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8

He wants to help us successfully navigate around every trap and snare of the enemy and enable us to reach our destination as quickly and safely as possible. He wants to reveal the proper time and procedure for every matter (His will, plan, and timing – the What, When, and How – we don’t necessarily get to know the WHY). He even wants to tell us about the future and show us what to do.

And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]! O people who dwell in Zion at Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you. And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself any more, but your eyes will constantly behold your Teacher. And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:18-21

He desires to give us the FULL RICHES of COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING! He wants to enlighten the eyes of our hearts
– to KNOW HIM (and who we are IN HIM),
– to know the hope of our calling,
– the glorious riches of our incalculable, limitless inheritance that is in us (through Him),
– and His incomparably great POWER for us who believe.

He wants to open our spiritual eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts to perceive, believe, and receive, and our minds to understand all that He’s speaking to us. He wants to manifest Himself to us, teach us everything we need to know, and make all things clear (Psalm 25:12-14; 32:8, Eccles 8:5-6, I Kings 3:7-13, I Chronicles 12:32, Isaiah 11:1-4, Luke 24:45, John 4:25-26; 14-16, Ephesians 1:16-20, Philippians 3:15-16, Colossians 2:2-3, etc.). When He has made such astounding provision for us to know Him and His will for our lives in such intimate detail, we should not settle for living beneath it.

Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.” Hosea 6:3

Our part is to seek Him with all our hearts. He calls us to earnestly and diligently (not casually) seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

*****

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair–every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Proverbs 2:1-10

*****

For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

His sheep, those who belong to Him, can come to know Him and His voice well enough to discern it from every other. This degree of familiarity and intimacy is not automatic, but is cultivated through spending time together with Him (through His Word and Spirit). He promises His sheep will come to the place of being able to discern and flee from the voice of the enemy, but to recognize and follow Him (John 8:47; John 10).

Oh this is good! While editing this note (4/5), a notification from Paula White popped up that said,

You cannot follow God until you first hear God! Let your spiritual ears be open to hear Him. Let your heart be patient to wait on Him!”

Waiting on Him does not imply passivity, but patient and persistent pursuit. It’s an active posture of seeking while waiting in confident expectation for Him to pour out His wisdom and make things clear as He’s promised to do (James 1:5). Many times as we seek, God gives bits and pieces. He does this, in part, to continue to draw us into deeper dimensions of seeking. We can imagine this process like puttingpuzzle pieces a puzzle together. Because we understand the process, we do not get upset or frustrated that one piece does not reveal the entire picture, or that even multiple pieces put together are still only revealing the picture in part. We realize that each piece will only contain partial revelation of the whole, and that as we keep seeking and putting those pieces together we will eventually see the entire picture clearly. Unfortunately, those who do not understand this process may get frustrated that often their questions seem to lead to more questions instead of clear answers right away, and may give up thinking they can’t hear God or that the process is too complicated/confusing. God hides the treasures of His revelations for us, to be discovered as we continue digging and pressing in to Him. Our perseverance in pursuit reveals how much we want to uncover His will and plan (our priorities, our hunger/passion/desire for Him and His will, etc.).

(Here are a couple of short status updates from 2011 along these lines that the Lord’s bringing back to mind):

Feb 15, 2011 – Don’t force the pieces of the puzzle

If you force pieces of the puzzle into place, other pieces will not fit.
If you leave pieces of the puzzle out, the picture will be incomplete.
“It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.” (Prov 19:2) LORD, teach us the RIGHT questions to ask, and help us RECEIVE the answers YOU give!

Feb 16, 2011 – If the answers aren’t clear

If the answers you need aren’t evident right away, keep seeking until they are crystal clear. God’s drawing you into deeper intimacy. You might just be after answers, but He’s after relationship.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jer 29:13

IT’S ALIVE!‏ pt 2 (More Confirmations for Confession #9) – HFJ44

(part 2)
THEN this morning, when I opened the KCM devo, there was our verse AGAIN!!! Through this devo, God tied confession #9 back to the theme He was emphasizing during confession #8  ~ of Jesus, the Living Word, the Word made flesh, being the same yesterday, today, and forever! Since Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He is the Word, this means the Word is also the same yesterday, today, and forever ~ and therefore totally reliable and dependable. Praise God!

His Word Is as Good as His Bond
Kenneth Copeland

The word of God is quick [or alive], and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. – Hebrews 4:12

The Word of God is not just a book! … His Word has been recorded in a book…but the Word itself is what God has said and is saying to you personally! That’s powerful.

That means the Word of God is ALIVE…and working every time you put it to work. That’s because God’s Word is His bond. You’ve heard people say that about others: “A man’s word is his bond.” That means a person’s word is the measure of his character. If a man honors his word by keeping it, then he is an honorable man. If he dishonors his word by breaking it, he is a dishonorable man. … (God) is the One who taught us to judge integrity on that basis. He invented the integrity of words. He set the standard.

God and His Word are one—not because we say so, but because He said so. He has made it clear that we cannot separate Him from His Word. Just as He never changes, His Word never changes. They are both the same—yesterday, today and forever. That means that if you’ve been believing God for something based on His Word, you can rest assured He is faithful to keep His Word. He won’t fail you. His Word is ALIVEIT IS WORKING FOR YOU EVERY TIME YOU SPEAK IT AND ACT ON IT IN FAITH. So stand up strong today. Put your trust in Him. Don’t cave in to doubt…or despair. Remember, His Word is as good as His bond.

Praying we’re all taking time to meditate on these truths of God’s Word as ALIVE and ACTIVE, going to work to PENETRATE and DIVIDE, performing Holy Spirit surgery (spirit, soul, body, and circumstances), in order to ACCOMPLISH and ACHIEVE the purpose for which they’re sent. I pray these truths are becoming deeper heart revelation for each of us than they’ve ever been.

IT’S ALIVE!‏ pt 1 (More Confirmations for Confession #9) – HFJ43

Last Tuesday, I felt led to start going back through one of the huge stacks of Scripture cards I wrote over a period of many months last year from all the Scriptures/words the Lord was pouring out for us day after day once our battle began. Immediately, from that first day I began to go back through them, the cards were speaking with precision to our journey now ~ as if they were written for this new situation (though it’s a completely different kind of battle).

God’s continual orchestration of getting us the right word at just the right time is staggering! It’s amazing how He does this not only through others, but also through His Word  – causing His Logos (written Word) to become rhema (quickened, LIVING word) – to speak to our present need.

If you’ve read the Bible through in past years, you’ve probably noticed how each time you read through, different things will jump out to you and speak to you that didn’t jump out to you the year before. It’s certainly not a “book” that we can ever say, “Yes, I’ve read that before,” as if we’ve received and absorbed from it all it has to offer. The wealth of what can be received from God’s Word is INEXHAUSTIBLE. It contains the revelation we need to navigate through and overcome every situation we’ll ever face in life. This is why it will “speak” different things to us when we read it this year than it did the year before. Though we’re facing different circumstances and situations this year than we were last year, the answers we need for the new situations we face are still contained in the Word and will be quickened to us (made alive) as we read it again in light of our present circumstance.

As I’ve been praying for greater heart revelation that His Word is ALIVE, this is one aspect of that Truth that He’s been reminding me of. Though His Word is ancient, it is also eternal – and reveals itself as the LIVING and ACTIVE Word by its ability to speak directly and precisely to us no matter where we are in life or what we’re going through. It has the answers we need no matter what season or situation we’re in. As we read it interactively, praying about what we read, asking the Lord specific questions, and asking the Holy Spirit to cause our eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts to perceive, and minds to understand all that He’s saying to us/showing us, He illuminates exactly what we need in order to speak directly to our lives at this time.

Yesterday, as I was going through one of those stacks of cards from last year, I saw this devo from last July that focuses on our verse for confession #9 and emphasized this very aspect of the truth that God’s Word is ALIVE ~ able to speak to each of us personally and specifically regardless of our need! This devo also focuses on the aspect of the truth that the Word is Alive in the sense that it’s OPERATIVE (which confession #9 emphasizes) ~ able to go to work when we release it into our situations by faith and containing within it the POWER to produce the promised results (like a sword against an enemy or a key in the ignition of a car – as discussed in the last note).

The Word Is Alive

Kenneth Copeland

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.– Hebrews 4:12

How can God’s Word become one thing for one person and something else for another? Because it is ALIVE! The Word of God is full of life. Full! Therefore, it administers life wherever it is applied. It doesn’t matter how dark and deadly your circumstances may be. There is enough life in God’s Word to totally overwhelm all the death that the world, the devil or circumstances can bring you.

The Bible likens the Word to a natural seed. Every seed has within it all the DNA required to produce whatever kind of seed it is. If it’s a peach seed, all that is required to be a peach tree is in the seed. In the same way, the Word of God has the supernatural life within it to fulfill the promises of God in your life. You plant it in your heart as a seed, but when it comes up, it produces salvation, prosperity, healing, deliverance—whatever God has said belongs to you!

If you have a need in your life today, go to the Word of God. Find a promise to stand on regarding your need…begin planting that seed in your heart. Say it aloud over and over as you let that Word take root inside of you. Let that Word become real to you. And then watch it come alive!

I was so blessed by this timely confirmation ~ since I’ve been praying for Him to specifically bring greater revelation of His Word as ALIVE.

A Key to Unleash God’s Power / “You Have a Two-Edged Sword”‏ – HFJ42

This is so good! The past week the Lord’s been connecting confession #9 with words about needing to SPEAK/CONFESS His Word again so that it’s going forth from our mouths as His double edged sword into our circumstances to penetrate and divide ~ accomplishing and achieving the purpose for which it was sent! He has also described this process of speaking the Word as putting the key in the ignition of a car and turning it ~ stating that this is necessary in order to release the power and potential that will otherwise lay dormant and untapped. But when we speak/declare His Word, we turn that key in the ignition and the power and potential of the car to go anywhere we need to go is UNLEASHED. (Truly- ANYWHERE we need to go that He’s told us to go. Remember – His divine power has given us EVERYTHING we need for life and godliness, through our knowledge of Him and His great and precious promises, through which we participate in His divine nature!!! Thank you Lord!)

Here’s confession #9 again:

“God’s Words are ALIVE and they are ACTIVE. They are sharper than any double-edged sword. They PENETRATE every cell, tissue, organ, system, muscle, and bone.  They are PRECISE! They can divide between soul and spirit, JOINTS and MARROW, performing Holy Spirit surgery. God’s Words are flawless! They know exactly where to go in my body, and they perform with flawless precision! (Hebrews 4:12, II Samuel 22:31, Psalm 18:30)”

I’ve specifically been praying for greater heart revelation again about His Word being ALIVE. So He’s brought some awesome confirmations this week of this passage ~ including Joyce quoting from it in her program that I listened to today – emphasizing that the Word is ALIVE! She talked about how when we both read it with our eyes and hear it with our ears something powerful happens and it goes into us (it PENETRATES and DIVIDES)!!!

Also, last week I shared with one of my friends in this group how the weekend before we began this confession, God was having me meditate on Romans 12:1-2.

I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

The Lord was re-emphasizing how He wants us to meditate on the Word until we are TRANSFORMED by it (continuing to stress that His Truth TRUMPS and TRANSFORMS our facts/circumstances when we stay in AGREEMENT with it/Him instead of with them). He wants us to continue meditating on His Word until our minds are renewed to be in alignment and agreement with His Word (so we operate according to the mind of Christ). This enables us to know His good, pleasing, and perfect will (which we all desire)! A few days after we began this confession, one of my prophetic friends on FB, whom God often uses to bring precise confirmations of what He’s speaking to us, posted Hebrews 4:12 (which was a confirmation of our confession for this week) AND connected it to Romans 12:1-2 (confirmation of what God was specifically emphasizing to us)!

So this has been another exciting week of precise confirmations! The Lord also reminded me of this devotional from Rick Renner’s Sparkling Gems! The message confirms the things He’s been re-emphasizing this week through Heb 4:12 of the importance that we SPEAK and DECLARE His Word in order to use it as our sword of the Spirit ~ so I wanted to share! (see whole devo at link below)

You Have a Two-Edged Sword

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword.…— Hebrews 4:12

What is the significance of the “two-edged sword” referred to in Hebrews 4:12? … Notice (in Revelation 1:16) that this “two-edged sword” came out of Jesus’ mouth! Why would Jesus have a sword in His mouth? …

The phrase “two-edged” is taken from the Greek word distomos and is unquestionably one of the oddest words in the entire New Testament. Why is it so odd? Because it is a compound of the word di, meaning two, and the word stomos, which is the Greek word for one’s mouth. Thus, when these two words are compounded into one (distomos), they describe something that is two-mouthed! …

The Word of God is like a sword that has two edges, cutting both ways and doing terrible damage to an aggressor. Ephesians 6:17 calls it “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (see February 8). As noted, the term “word” is taken from the Greek word rhema, which describes something that is spoken clearly, vividly, in unmistakable terms and undeniable language. In the New Testament, the word rhema carries the idea of a quickened word. Here’s an example of a rhema or a quickened word: You are praying about a situation, and suddenly a Bible verse rises up from inside your heart. At that moment, you are consciously aware that God has given you a verse to stand on and to claim for your situation. You’ve received a word that came right out of the mouth of God and dropped into your spirit! That word from God was so sharp that it cut right through your questions, intellect, and natural logic and lodged deep within your heart. After you meditated on that rhema, or that quickened word from God, it suddenly began to release its power inside you. Soon you couldn’t contain it any longer! Everything within you wanted to declare what God had said to you. You wanted to say it. You want to release it out of your mouth! And when you did, those powerful words were sent forth like a mighty blade to drive back the forces of hell that had been marshaled against you, your family, your business, your ministry, your finances, your relationship, or your body.

First, that word came out of the mouth of God. Next, it came out of your mouth! When it came out of your mouth, it became a sharp, “two-edged” — or literally, a “two-mouthed” — sword. One edge of this sword came into existence when the Word initially proceeded out of God’s mouth. The second edge of this sword was added when the Word of God proceeded out of YOUR mouth!

The Word of God remains a one-bladed sword when it comes out of God’s mouth and drops into your heart but is never released from your own mouth by faith. That supernatural word simply lies dormant in your heart, never becoming the two-edged sword God designed it to be. But something happens in the realm of the Spirit when you finally rise up and begin to speak forth that word. The moment it comes out of your mouth, a second edge is added to the blade! Nothing is more powerful than a word that comes first from God’s mouth and then from your mouth. You and God have come into AGREEMENT, and that agreement releases His mighty power into the situation at hand!

So begin to willfully take the Word into your spirit by meditating on it and giving it a place of top priority. This is how you take the first necessary step in giving the Word a “second edge” in your life. Then when you are confronted by a challenge from the demonic realm, the Holy Spirit will be able to reach down into the reservoir of God’s Word you have stored up on the inside of you and pull up the exact scripture you need for that moment. As that quickened rhema word from God begins to first fill your heart and mind and then come out of your mouth, it becomes that “two-mouthed sword” described in the Scriptures. That’s when demons start to tremble in terror! (Copyright, Renner Ministries)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I noticed that the word “dormant” was used in both analogies the Lord gave us to describe the power of His Word in our lives when we fail to come into agreement with it and speak it/act on it in faith. So I hope this blesses you and encourages us all to release God’s word as the sword of the Spirit out of our mouths to defeat the enemy ~ and to put His Word in our mouths as a key in the ignition and turn it (declare it), releasing all the power and potential we need to get anywhere we need to go (accomplishing ANY “impossibility” God’s given us promises for in every area of life)!
Blessings and Prayers!
Concluding Confession #8, Starting #9‏ – HFJ41
Over the weekend I was trying to finally catch up on my dear friend, Callie’s, posts and found that she’d posted something several days BEFORE I sent out the last message which contained more confirmation of things shared in that note!!!
“…God has offered the immediate and direct witness of the Holy Spirit to all believers. It is not only what persuades you that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, but also that God is on His throne! GOD IS WILLING TO BE AS REAL TODAY AS HE WAS TO THE PATRIARCHS, TO MOSES, TO DAVID, AND THE PROPHETS. HE IS AS REAL TODAY AS HE WAS TO THE EARLIEST CHURCH. JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND FOREVER (HEB 13:8). Don’t come short of discovering how real God is because some well-meaning person says this kind of relationship with God is not possible today. For it is possible.” R.T. Kendall, HolyFire.
I was so excited to see another precise confirmation of the theme I believed God was emphasizing last week by giving Hebrews 13:8 repeatedly as I believed Him to speak a message that would be life to our whole bodies and healing and health to all our flesh!!!!!
I’ve been trying to decide since Monday if I was supposed to go ahead and move on to confession #9 or if we needed to camp out on this one longer, and I believe the Lord is lovingly nudging us along. He’s already given me 2 confirmations of our next confession this week – once yesterday in a stack of Scripture cards I was meditating on about receiving HIS GUIDANCE and another TODAY in the devo below from Ed Traut!! So I take that as His answer to get in gear and move on!
Confession #9 is:
“God’s Words are ALIVE and they are ACTIVE. They are sharper than any double-edged sword. They PENETRATE every cell, tissue, organ, system, muscle, and bone.  They are PRECISE! They can divide between soul and spirit, JOINTS and MARROW, performing Holy Spirit surgery. God’s Words are flawless! They know exactly where to go in my body, and they perform with flawless precision! (Hebrews 4:12, II Samuel 22:31, Psalm 18:30)”
Here’s Ed’s devo below. His 3rd point and prayer go along with the things the Lord was emphasizing in the last email too (follow up on confession #8)!:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 NIVUK

• God’s Word is powerful and reveals thought and even the motives of our hearts.
• We need that Word to keep us on track and (to cause) the truth (to) abound in our lives.
• God’s Word is alive and continually active. It’s not a past tense, but a continual tense in our lives. If we expose ourselves to it it will bring us life. (the same yesterday, today, and forever – with the same power to bring life to our whole bodies and health to all our flesh)

Prayer: Lord I thank you for your Word and that you are the Word, even before time began. Let your word penetrate my heart Lord and bring light today I pray. In Jesus name, Amen. Ed Traut (Copyright, Prophetic Life Ministries)

Hope you’re all having a powerful Resurrection week, spending time reflecting on all the Lord has done for us and seeking His will for how we can more fully give our lives to Him in return ~ that we may allow Him to accomplish in and through our lives (which He purchased at such a great and horrible price) all that He desires!
Blessings and Prayers!

Becoming SALT and PILLARS – part 4

Note 9 – Part 4 (Part 1, part 2, part 3 here; navigation forward and backward also at bottom of page)

TEARING DOWN and BUILDING UP

So what is He asking us to do? Well, in part, He’s continued to give us words that He’s calling us to TEAR DOWN and demolish the altars and idols (or PILLARS) of the enemy’s kingdom that have been set up and established in this nation and to re-establish His altar and His PILLARS of Truth. Like the assignment of the prophet Jeremiah, we don’t get to have a “dessert ministry” (as Joyce Meyer calls them), which only tells people what they want to hear. God gives us the job of tearing down the “idols and false gods” in the hearts and minds of people/nations so that what is truly of Him can be rebuilt and re-established.

See, I have this day appointed you to the oversight of the nations and of the kingdoms to root out and pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant. Jeremiah 1:10

In the past, our pastor has preached about aspects of Samson’s life that reveal types and shadows of the church. He talked about how, like Samson, the church has lost our anointing by “laying our head in the lap of Delilah” (representing the world). Samson’s sin caused him to be blinded (representing spiritual blindness) and led into captivity (as we are now seeing happen in this nation and God is warning will occur in much greater measure if we do not repent). Since Samson came up in my research for these notes, I couldn’t help but be amazed by the implications of the rest of the story. As his hair (representing his anointing) began to return, his last plea to God was that He would grant him the SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH he needed to KNOCK DOWN THE PILLARS of the enemy’s temple, and in doingsamson so to destroy the enemy!! (Paralleling the message the Lord was showing us in the “Dark of the Moon” notes about how we must knock down the PILLARS of the enemy that have been set up and are rapidly drawing his kingdom to earth. Again, always remembering that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the true enemy in the spiritual realm – Eph. 6). Samson literally laid down his life in order to complete this mission (representing what God has been saying we must be willing to do, daily, by being living sacrifices, and perhaps even literally as many of our brothers and sisters around the world have had to do from the birth of the church, if it comes to that).

We’ve been slowly working our way through a series of Bible stories on DVD. The day I wrote this part about Samson here, still wondering whether I was supposed to include it or not, Jesse (not knowing I’d written about this) “just happened” to put on the SAMSON story that evening! We hear you Lord! May God cause the anointing of the church to grow and increase again to the point that we are empowered by HIS SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH to tear down the pillars of the kingdom of darkness, destroying the enemy’s temple and his kingdom in this earth, and to do our part to establish the LORD’s!

I LOVE that the Pillars on the Porch of God’s temple were named:

templeHiram set up the pillars of the porch of the temple; he set up the right pillar and called its name Jachin [HE WILL ESTABLISH], and he set up the left pillar and called its name Boaz [IN STRENGTH]. I Kings 7:21

Though God wants us to understand that HE NEEDS US and that each one of us has an important role in His plan which we were created to discover and fulfill, we must still remember that it’s not by our might or power, but it is by God’s SPIRIT that these things will be accomplished (Zechariah 4). This once again reveals the vital importance of us abiding in the Vine so that we’re walking as closely in unity with Him as possible (John 14-15). May we come as close as possible to being able to say along with Jesus that we only say what we hear the Father saying and only do what we see Him doing. As we submit to His will, plan, timing, and process, the PILLARS of His temple testify ~ “He will establish His Kingdom – and US (as His Pillars and His Temple) – in His Strength.”

So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, BUT BY MY SPIRIT,’ says the LORD Almighty. “WHAT ARE YOU, O MIGHTY MOUNTAIN (of opposition)? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’ [or Grace! Grace!]”  Then the word of the LORD came to me:  “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the LORD Almighty has sent me to you.  “Who despises the day of SMALL (seemingly “INSIGNIFICANT, UNIMPORTANT”) things? Men will rejoice when they see the PLUMB LINE in the hand of Zerubbabel. “ Zechariah 4:6-10

WOW! God is AMAZING! I did not plan this! After putting this Scripture here from Zechariah that God brought to mind, I felt led to look up the Hebrew word translated “small” and found “insignificant” and “unimportant” also in the definition! “SMALL, INSIGNIFICANT, and UNIMPORTANT” were the PRECISE WORDS used in the PILLARS devo from Rick Renner in part 1!!! I am continually IN AWE at the LORD’s orchestration!!! I’ve felt like I could take flight for days at the things He’s been showing us! The Lord is telling us AGAIN ~ If you’ve felt this way it’s time to renew your mind to the Truth! God wants you to know HE NEEDS YOU! YOU ARE VALUABLE and SIGNIFICANT TO HIS PLAN! He tells us not to despise the day of seemingly small, insignificant, and unimportant things. We must not esteem our value through the eyes of others (whether their estimation is good or bad), but only listen to what God says. As the message of the “Butterfly Effect” (discussed in previous notes) says, EVERYTHING we do for Him, in obedience to His call, whether seen or unseen, known or unknown by anyone else, is IMPORTANT and SIGNIFICANT to HIM. As He has also stressed in past messages – HE NOTICES, HE DOES NOT FORGET, and HE WILL BRING HIS REWARD in DUE TIME!! THANK YOU JESUS!!

God also just showed me a connection between this theme and the Isaiah 60 words from last Saturday (with follow-up confirmations here )!! A week ago, in answering my questions about the “thousand-fold,” He used that Scripture to tell us the LEAST of us would become A THOUSAND; the SMALLEST a MIGHTY NATION ~ in it’s time He will do it QUICKLY!!!!! He just showed me how this passage also confirms and emphasizes that we should not despise seemingly “small, insignificant, and unimportant” beginnings. Though we may now appear as the LEAST and SMALLEST, He wants us to SEE WITH THE EYES of FAITH the GREAT things He’s going to do to multiply our lives and influence for His Kingdom and Glory as we follow Him!

The “PLUMB LINE” in the passage above (Zech 4:6-10) spiritually represents The Word of God (as do SALT and PILLARS). We are to uphold the Plumb amos-plumb-lineLine of His Word to all things. It’s the Standard we must use to measure all else against to discern whether those things pass the test or need to be brought upright and into alignment with Truth. Therefore the Word of God is essential in the formation and creation of us as Pillars in God’s Temple ~ to make sure we are established in alignment with the Standard of His Word (understanding that only through Jesus can we fully be so!). (AND, as discussed in note 7, one of our purposes after we become Pillars in His temple is to continue to Uphold His Word/Truth. So the Word must be held up to us for us to become God’s Pillars, and then once we become His Pillars we must uphold His Word.) The Plumb Line of God’s Word (His Truth) must be brought back among God’s people in order for God’s Temple and Kingdom to be rebuilt. Those in the account in Zechariah had experienced the destruction of their land and the horror of being led into captivity for turning away from God. After all the desolation and bondage they had suffered as a result of turning away from God and the Standard of His Word, God said they would now REJOICE when they saw the Plumb Line (representing His Word) returning in their midst! May we not have to see our land totally destroyed and our people taken captive before we will again rejoice over, cherish, and embrace the Plumb Line God has given us of His Word. We must return to His upright Standard NOW to rebuild what has declined and deteriorated before total destruction and desolation occurs.

Jesse and I have been blessed to travel much throughout Europe. Others who have done the same, regardless of where they may have visited, can probably relate to the tourist’s woe of unsightly scaffolding interfering with and interrupting our picture perfect experiences, memories, and photographs of key sites. Yet, at the same time we reluctantly realize that if important repairs aren’t made, these ancient landmarks won’t be PRESERVED for future generations. In the same way, prominent and prevalent portions of the church/nation may also need to be temporarily covered in spiritual scaffolding in order to do the extensive repair work needed to prevent their total collapse. Though bringing the Plumb Line back in and doing the difficult and unsightly work necessary to make these corrections, adjustments, and repairs may upset those who have merely been “tourists,” desiring pretty facades and picture perfect experiences, this work is necessary in order to PRESERVE the church and the nation. As the Plumb Line returns to God’s people and we make the necessary repairs to His Temple (ourselves and the church), then the Ark of His Presence can be brought back in and fill us fully with His GLORY.

Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Is not this in your sight as nothing in comparison to that? Yet now be STRONG, ALERT, and COURAGEOUS, O Zerubbabel, says the Lord; be STRONG, ALERT, and COURAGEOUS, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be STRONG, ALERT, and COURAGEOUS, ALL YOU PEOPLE of the land, says the Lord, and WORK! FOR I AM WITH YOU, says the Lord of hosts. According to the promise that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit stands and abides in the midst of you; FEAR NOT. For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake and make tremble the [starry] heavens, the earth, the sea, and the dry land; And I WILL SHAKE ALL NATIONS AND THE DESIRE and the precious things of ALL NATIONS shall come in, and I WILL FILL THIS HOUSE WITH SPLENDOR (GLORY), says the Lord of hosts. The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord of hosts. THE LATTER GLORY OF THIS HOUSE SHALL BE GREATER THAN THE FORMER, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace and prosperity, says the Lord of hosts. Haggai 2:3-9

All this the Lord made me understand by the writing by His hand upon me, all the work to be done according to the plan. Also David told Solomon his son, Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS, and DO IT. FEAR NOT, BE NOT DISMAYED, for the Lord God, my God, IS WITH YOU. HE WILL NOT FAIL or FORSAKE YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED ALL THE WORK FOR THE SERVICE OF THE HOUSE OF THE LORD. I Chronicles 28:19-20

“Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the Lord God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the Lord.” I Chronicles 22:19

He who overcomes (is victorious), I will make him a PILLAR in the sanctuary of My God; he shall never be put out of it or go out of it, and I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which descends from My God out of heaven, and My own new name. Revelation 3:12

He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with nobles and inherit the throne of glory. FOR THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH ARE THE LORD’S, AND HE HAS SET THE WORLD UPON THEM. II Samuel 2:8

Perhaps at some point I will learn that the longer I wait to post, the more difficult it becomes to keep the notes from quickly turning into a book ~ But not this time. Once again, this note grew to mammoth proportions, leaving me grappling with how to divide it up. What did not get put into this note is enough material for several more. But I hope to post them relatively quickly since they contain things critical to this season of finding our place and doing our part in God’s plan ~ to put us in alignment for His Divine Suddenlies that are on the way!

Blessings and Prayers!
